So honestly this is by far and away the worst meal that I've had since coming to Mexico, the venue is beautiful, probably worth coming to for a drink or to use their pool, and the staff are nice but the food is terrible.
At this price point I would expect the food to be in excellent condition, but I was served rotten avocado, and an aguachile without chilli and in a sweet fruit juice, they also seemed to have run out of alot of ingredients for the meals, which I would have preferred to be communicated at the beginning and we could have eaten somewhere else.
They also didn't bring things like nachos or rice which we ordered, then they ran out of nachos and we didn't get enough for all of our dishes, and they didn't offer any other sides except one slice of bread to share between 5, it was a truly awful dining experience which I do not recommend to anyone. The food is also extremely bland so I think that's something to bare in mind before considering this place.
Also worth baring in mind that the staff can barely speak English, which is totally fine, it's Mexico, but the reviews talking about having long conversations with the staff or them explaining the menu are just more than likely fake reviews.
The appetiser was nice though.
EDIT:
So I realized why I found this dining experience so annoying a few days later, it was because of the weaponized incompetence and pattern of bad behaviour that this business is showing, but they do a successful job of gaslighting you at the time into thinking it's all a misunderstanding. If it looks like a special occasion, they'll more than likely serve you expired or out of date food knowing that you are more than likely not to comment on it, and if you do their English comprehension and eye sight gets progressively worse. For example the black mould that was on my avocado, there was no way that the waiter didn't see it when he brought it out, it was on top of the dish, and clearly visible, there's also no way that the cook didn't see that the avocado he was serving me was expired. The only way things like this happen is if it is a pattern of bad behaviour. To be honest if you read the negative reviews for this restaurant other people have mentioned being served bland or expired food at special occasions, I honestly just think it's horrible,...
Read moreThe drinks are not great they very watery and the cups are tiny in size. They are pricey. They offer smoothies how ever they don’t have any. Very limited on juices as well. Ordered the pibil and the meat tasted old. Ate everything around it except the meat. The waiter asked me about it and he tried to tell me it was because the way it was cooked. Except I’ve been living here in Mexico for 5 years and I’ve had my share of pibil. Not to mention I’m a human and like most adult humans can detect if something we are eating is not fresh. Anyway the service over all is okay. When we went there in the day we were. Attended by a female bartender and she came off as a bit haughty. Even condensing. My friend at I looked passed it though because it actually was kinda funny. Anyway, there’s this smell that comes through the place pretty consistently. It literally smells like dead fish I mean it just takes over the place for a good minute maybe a bit more but it’s really unbearable. I don’t know what it is I mean we went there two days in a row to enjoy the pool but alway end up leaving because of this smell. That comes through. It’s not unnoticeable everyone smells it and I don’t know why it’s not something that’s getting taken care of. It’s literally messed with our vibe. Other than those things we will probably be back because the structure is pretty cool and they have awesome spots to just chill and kick it and the music is good. But please fix the smell please offer something of better quality for the prices of the drinks and please ask your staff to work on...
