Nestled in the heart of La Paz, BCS, Nim exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we stepped in, the restaurant's simple yet elegant ambiance set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.
The restaurant itself is pristine, with a minimalist decor that enhances the dining atmosphere without distraction. The staff were not only attentive but also remarkably knowledgeable about the menu offerings, providing insightful recommendations and ensuring impeccable service throughout our meal.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Nim offers a delightful mix of flavors that are both surprising and satisfying. We started our culinary journey with the "Pulpo con Chorizo Español," featuring tender octopus combined with Spanish chorizo, baby potatoes, and slices of toasted garlic. The unexpected blend of flavors left a lasting impression, making us contemplate ordering a second helping.
Moving on to the beet salad, it was a revelation. Tender, juicy beets paired harmoniously with tangy feta cheese, crunchy pistachios, quinoa, and segments of orange, all dressed in a refreshing lemon vinaigrette. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes, showcasing Nim's commitment to creativity and quality.
For the main course, we savored the "Solomillo de Puerco," a pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and bursting with flavor. Served on a bed of creamy cauliflower puree and drizzled with a pine nut sauce and cranberry gravy, every element on the plate complemented the other perfectly. The tender, juicy pork combined with the rich, savory sauces created an unforgettable culinary experience.
Throughout our meal, the taste and presentation of each dish were impeccable, demonstrating Nim's dedication to both culinary craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The overall experience was further enhanced by the attentive service and the restaurant's serene ambiance.
In conclusion, Nim in La Paz BCS is not just a place to eat; it is a destination for food enthusiasts seeking a remarkable dining experience. Whether you're looking to indulge in innovative dishes or simply enjoy well-executed classics, Nim delivers on all fronts. Our visit was indeed a culinary journey that left us thoroughly impressed and...
Read moreHorrible Horrible.. stay away. Have been coming to this area for 40 years and never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant. We went to Nim on 11/29/2024. We ordered oriental fish and the pork tenderloin. We were asked to order the pork Medium which I agreed. Both dishes came out to us RAW. We called the waitress back over and put our plates on the end of the table. The waitress did not come over the owner did and we said both plates are RAW would you please cook it longer. We put the plates at the end of our table. The owner responded to my husband… You don’t have to be rude about it. Don’t understand what was so rude about sending our food back to he cooked longer but she was Pissed about it. We decided to leave the restaurant and pay for the two drinks and two salads we ordered. The owner kept mouthing off and swearing at us as we were paying the bill and one of her employees kept trying to tell the owner to calm down because she was very loud, obnoxious and swearing at us and never to come back to her restaurant. She was taking our picture like we did something wrong. I WILL never eat RAW Pork and recommend NEVER eating there. She took the plates away so fast I couldn’t get a picture of the RAW PORK and RAW oriental fish which your couldn’t even cut thru it with a fork or knife. I did get a video of here outside swearing at us as we were leaving and her employee trying to shut her up. Stay away from Nim in La Paz. When any employee in a restaurant makes a mistake the owner should side with the customer to make things right. This owner needs a lesson in restaurant etiquette. Find another restaurant. Many great ones to...
Read moreWe came here for dinner tonight and had a very mixed experience.
We grabbed a nice local beer from Baja brewing, which ended up being, in my opinion, for being a local beer in incredibly expensive at 100 pesos a bottle.
I would say the wait staff were polite, friendly, and attentive.
The atmosphere wasn’t bad and seemed medium level high-end, but with some burnt out lights and a fairly dreary, entranceway gave a weird vibe that absolutely did not scream high end.
The real kicker was when we decided to order two hamburgers, a simple meal, it came very bare bones and very oddly, none of the sauces were on the burger, but in little serving cups so we had to do the work ourselves. I don’t know if they were trying to be fancy, but it just came off as unnecessary and irritating… the burger was just sitting on the plate by itself… Seriously not original or cool, just made a mess and we had to pick up the burgers with our fingers to place it on the bun…
Honestly, the burger was not bad, but it was 250 pesos for a burger and some fries that I would say might compete with McDonald’s… underwhelming in every single way…
I don’t think I can say anything bad about the restaurant however, we definitely will not be back.
I think I could name a dozen better options available nearby for the same...
