My first time here, so I get here and the place is packed. I ordered by phone for pickup, 20 minutes to prep my order, not bad. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and an order of Chun kun. My order was on time and hot. They put a LOT of chicken on my plate, enough for two,... easily. The teriyaki sauce was different than other sauces I'm familiar with, could have been a little sweeter in my opinion, but that's just me. It looks like all the chicken consisted of thigh meat, which is very moist and tender. You get an order of white rice to accompany the chicken. Their Chun kun rolls were okay, but not that crispy at all. They were kinda greasy and just fell apart in my hand. Overall, for Tijuana, I give this place 4 stars for a economical place to bring the family. I did run into my next door neighbors inside the restaurant, they were just finishing up when I got there and they were very happy with their meals, they say they've been coming for years. There's only four parking spots in front of the restaurant, so people park behind those inside and on the...
Read moreSo glad my wife and I tried this spot on a whim. We’ve been searching for a good Chinese spot in Tijuana and Nuevo Dragon City fits the bill! The food is delicious, the servings are generous, and the price is great! We came and dined on a weekend, around noon and it was nice and slow. Our server was attentive and the speed of the service was excellent. So glad we found a good Chinese spot this side of the border.
Update: my wife and I frequent Nuevo Dragon City when we want Chinese cuisine in Tijuana. For the most part we are satisfied with the food and service. Last time we ventured outside our comfort zone and tried their teriyaki plate and we're disappointed. The chicken appeared boiled with a light sauce on the outside. It was a consistency we didn't care for and did not resemble teriyaki chicken as we are accustomed to. I think we're going to pump the brakes on this...
