I have to say that we were slightly disappointed eating here given all the excellent reviews. If I were to rate the Green Bao alone I would give it 5 stars for its phenomenal flavor and the delicious sauces. My non-vegetarian boyfriend had both the Shrimp and Tuna bao but only recommends the Tuna (“Shrimp was mediocre.”) His main criticism was that there was too much bread in both Bao. In my opinion the bread-to-filling ratio in the Bao was fine, but as you see in the photos— there was wayyyy too much bread in the Vegan Baoburgesa! The bread overwhelmed the burger, especially since the patty was bland, mushy, and fell apart while I was eating. But choosing to order a burger in a restaurant specializing in woks was my bad. Boyfriend ordered the Woking Rice specifically with “no cilantro”...and was dismayed that when it was finally served, the dish had heaps of cilantro (both on top and cooked within the bowl). This was just an honest mistake, and they did go back and remake his dish —but even after all that, he felt it was “just decent.” I will say that the disappointment we felt with the food may have been due to our choices — as we both regretted not going with the “make your own wok” option. We did love the habañero and other house sauces and while these had promising flavors our dishes just didn’t hit the spot.

7.5 out of 10 - @theveggiesloth Great atmosphere, good food and amazing service. We visited Woking Dead for dinner, we were told that they had just reopened the restaurant. We had cheese balls as starter, green bao and personalised wok as mains. I loved the balls and the wok, the bao was fine but it could be more tasteful if they would add some crispy element in it (I would recommend crispy eggplant). The service was 10/10, Adrian made sure that we felt comfortable, he explained several items on the menu and gave us recommendation about what to do in Cancún. I would recommend trying this place if you are bored of tacos and craving some Thai fusion food.

I really liked the food - customers can build their own meal; my wife didn't love it. We also had the Vietnamese rolls. They were tasty, but a little overpriced (then again, this is Cancun). Our server was friendly, but failed to inform us that one of the ingredients we ordered for our wok wasn't available. My wife's food came missing another ingredient that she had ordered. I was double charged for an ingredient. If you can look past all of these things, this place may be worth a visit.

I have visited this place on 2nd of March as this place had great reviews, food that I would like and quite close to the place we were staying. The place itself is quite adorable. However... When ordering, every person gets a paper and ticks what he wants to order. I have ordered shrimps, sweet potatoes and pad thai. Quite simple. However, within an hour I only received the shrimps and my girlfriend received veggy bao burger. The veggie burger was really bad, no taste at all as the patty itself is just a frozen chickpeas with corn patty. Same with shrimps. I guess they dont even bother making it their own taste, just throwing frozen food to frier. Waited for 1 more hour to realise my ordered pad thai and sweet potatoes have never been ordered. On top of that the drinks took more then half an hour to be served, which is a different topic. I honestly never left a review, but this was by far the most misleading restaurant to be in, so really the review is for the one who is reading.

Edit: forgot to mention as I haven't even received my food - no napkins or cutlery...

This seemed like a nice place with good reviews online so we figured we'd go here as were only here for 1 evening. (Note, we were with 2 people ourselves) We ordered our food when there were only 2 other guests at this restaurant.

The bao came fast, followed up by the wok for 1 person. However, the tonkotsu ramen was just not being brought to our table, after 40 minutes we went to inform where our dish was as one of us had already finished all of his food and we got told there were 'only' 2 chefs and it was 'busy' whilst when we ordered there were 2 other people.

After waiting for another 40-50 minutes it became obvious the ramen was never going to be brought out, I understand in that time period other people had joined and ordered but it's up to the restaurant to make sure their guests are served food at the same time or close to each other, more than an hour in between is just not done.

Don't come here if you're...
