DAKÜNI made our last night truly special. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the ambiance, the warm hospitality, and the meticulous attention to detail in the space. The staff, especially Jaime, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing excellent service that made us feel right at home. A standout moment was when Chef Susana came out to personally discuss the menu with us. She generously spent time answering our questions and even recommended other food spots to try, both locally and in CDMX, where we were headed next. It was an extra touch that made our dining experience even more memorable. The food itself was nothing short of spectacular-expertly crafted and innovative, with every dish featuring local ingredients. We're excited to see how Daküni grows and develops over time. And don't miss out on ordering some poxitos with your meal-they perfectly complement the flavors and add an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience....
Read moreA must try for foodies visiting San Cristobal! The lechon (suckling pig) is very crispy and juicy, with the perfect manchamantel apple sauce. The beef tongue stew is so tender and goes really well with the tortillas. We also tried eating the beef tongue with the green mole and the apple sauce together in a tortilla and it is HEAVEN. I’m really sad that on the night we came the Nicuatole ran out, but we tried the pox with milk and fig leaf made by the chef. It’s so good. The chef comes out every time to explain the dishes and she is very friendly and passionate. The restaurant is very cozy with tasteful furnishing. I really hope I could come here again during our stay but sadly it’s closed on Wednesdays. Wishing you great success — this place truly...
Read moreI’ve been here twice already for breakfast/brunch and each time has been amazing! They start you off with a glass of water infused with romero/rosemary which is really refreshing. Not a lot of places in Mexico provide water for the table so it’s a nice touch. You also get complementary fresh zucchini bread slices with a creamy spread. I ordered a brioche sandwich with egg, goat cheese, and calabaza - so good!! The brioche bread was excellent. Their pastries are yummy as well (cinnamon roll specifically). Keep in mind the portions are on the smaller side but I think the quality makes up for it as they use fresh, local ingredients. Highly...
