It’s our first time in Cabo and we were looking for good Brazilian restaurants; we found this as the highest rating for Brazilian rodizio and so we came with high expectations. We went here couple days ago for the first time and we thought it was great. We came back for the second time and that’s where we unfortunately didn’t have a good experience.
Food is good; the flank steak was great, glazed ribs were yummy as well as lamb, and the beef kebab was sooo juicy and tender! The rib-eye and picanha were meh, dry and too salty. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed the experience because service was great that first night and we enjoyed most of the meats. Restaurant wasn’t busy that night (Monday night).
Today (Wednesday) we came back; at first we were the only ones in the restaurant and so we were getting a good flow of meat and service. But as soon as a big group came, the senior server started focusing only on this group that we didn’t get any service at all anymore for the rest of the night. We waited patiently and didn’t complain since we didn’t want to be that type of customer but then at the end of the night, we felt that our dinner was ruined. Our meats stopped coming (we haven’t eaten a lot) and I had to stand up and request for more meats. We also saw that the big group was being given the VIP treatment with drinks and meats and the service/ attention. The server even performed in front of them, pouring alcohol on the lamb and lighting it on fire which was cool and then served and carved it for the big group. We were not presented with that on our first night and neither tonight, and so it seems they only do that for select customers? Which is fine but it did make us feel excluded. We had to call the server so we can also taste the lamb from that presentation. Lastly we had to wait very long for our bill; the server kept forgetting to hand it over because he kept going to the big table to upsell them on different types of tequila which felt like it went on forever.
Again, we didn’t want to make a fuss and so we just left quietly and still left a 15% tip (we usually tip 20% and up if the service was great). But after reflecting tonight, my hubby and I didn’t enjoy the night, I was still a bit hungry and so we felt that we should have probably lowered the tip.
And there was a lot of annoying flies since the restaurant...
Read moreMadeira Bistro Brazilian Steakhouse is one of our favorite places in Cabo San Lucas and a spot we make sure to visit every time we are here. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience that blends mouthwatering food, warm hospitality, and unbeatable value, this is it.
The food is absolutely phenomenal. It’s classic Brazilian steakhouse style with a wide variety of expertly grilled meats, carved tableside and served until you simply can’t eat another bite. Every cut is juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The salad bar and sides are fresh and delicious, but the endless steak is the real star.
The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, perfect for both date nights and group dinners. What truly sets Madeira apart is the service. The team is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The owner personally greets guests, shares stories, and makes you feel like part of the Madeira family. That personal touch adds so much to the experience.
And let’s talk price. This place offers incredible value for what you get. High quality food, attentive service, and a warm, authentic vibe at a fraction of what you’d pay at similar places in the U.S.
If you’re in Cabo and love great food and great people, don’t miss Madeira Bistro. Five...
Read moreFamily and I decided to try this restaurant, two of us ordered the “all you can eat” traditional Brazilian steakhouse dinner. Drinks were great. Food started off good but after the first three rounds of meat, the quality quickly dropped off. I don’t know whether it was because it was a Sunday or if this is a regular occurrence but our experience was poor.
Our server came and asked us what we were waiting on twice after being skipped by the meat skewers multiple times. We were waiting on our food to come back around…
Smoke from the grill was blowing all over the restaurant. One couple walked out after not being served for 20 minutes and the family behind us were also being skipped multiple times.
I do not recommend coming here because the service is just not worth the price. There are plenty of better restaurants to spend your money at in Cabo. Our server did come over and apologize at the end of our dinner. He said there was only one person cooking, while understandable I don’t believe it is an excuse for being skipped multiple times to serve others who arrived...
