Nestled in the heart of Zona Romantica, Figueroa's Burritos is a culinary gem that promises a breakfast experience like no other. Run by a local family, this eatery embodies the essence of homemade goodness, prepared with love and passion.
A Hearty Breakfast: My visit to Figueroa's Burritos started with a craving for a satisfying breakfast, and I was not disappointed. The burrito I ordered was a true masterpiece, bursting with flavor and filled with fresh ingredients. From the fluffy eggs to the perfectly seasoned meats, every bite was a delight to the senses.
Saucy Sensations: What truly elevated the experience at Figueroa's were the sauces. Each one offered a unique flavor profile, adding depth and dimension to the already delicious burrito. However, I learned the hard way that some of them pack quite a punch in terms of spice, so it's best to use them sparingly if you're not a fan of heat.
Cooked with Love: It's evident that Figueroa's Burritos is more than just a business; it's a labor of love for the family behind the counter. Every dish is cooked from the heart, and you can taste the care and dedication in every bite. It's the kind of place where you feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home, rather than just another customer.
Central Location: Conveniently situated in the center of Zona Romantica, Figueroa's Burritos is easily accessible for locals and tourists alike. Whether you're starting your day or looking for a mid-morning pick-me-up, this cozy eatery is the perfect spot to fuel up for whatever adventures await. Only thing, the tables are located on the foot path/sidewalk, so be careful of your belongings.
In conclusion, Figueroa's Burritos is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delicious breakfast in Zona Romantica. With its homemade goodness, flavorful sauces, and welcoming atmosphere, it's a true standout in the culinary landscape of Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to stop by and experience the love and flavor firsthand at...
Read moreMy favorite lunch place for a decade. Best Mexican cuisine you can enjoy for less than half you spend anywhere else. You have a variety of choices for under 100 Mx Peso, a couple can have lunch with beverage and walk away for 250 peso, Tip included. Figueroa's is a small joint with a mounted half long table and seating for 8, maybe 10 but at a fast rotation you don't really need to wait. I like to call it a street side restaurant with fixed location of the kitchen. Much of their business serves the local community and a lot is take away too. Only open Monday through Saturday during Lunch hours, this gem gets missed by most of the tourist crowd but you will find local Expads know and frequent Figueroa's as well. My favourite pick is Chimichanga wrapped in its deep fried tortilla, freshly prepared on site. I can't get Chimichanga where I am from and love them. I had them all over Puerto Vallarta but no matter how exquisite a restaurant I find not even the most expensive joint none had prepared them as well as Figueroa's because it's stuffed with your choice of meat and deep fried, served with Guacamole, rice, refried beans, salad and condiments on the side, whereas most other restaurants will jam it all inside the deep fried shell to make them look bigger. Don't be deceived. By the time the Chimichanga reaches your table they will be soggy, but I like them crispy like Figueroa's turns them out, because anything but the meat should outside the shell. There are a variety of traditional Mexican dishes and you can choose the meat protein of your preference. And though you can get non alcoholic commercial beverages and soda's I would entice you to ask for a Jamaica ( a home brew of Hibiscus flowers)...

There’s a plethora of American type brunch spots in PV and we had just tried one that was disappointing something more authentic and local and that’s exactly what we got at Figueroa’s.
It’s a tiny little spot almost right on the corner with authentic Mexican breakfast items and both breakfast and regular style burritos. There’s only limited seating outside and most of the people eating were locals.
I had the regular Figueroa burrito with carne asada that was packed with flavor. It came with rice and beans inside and a side of salsas. I thought I wasn’t going to finish it because it was massive but it was so good I ate it all.
My friend got the chilaquiles with salsa rojo and eggs. The ratio of egg to sauce to cheese was perfect. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy. There was a lot of depth to the rojo salsa and the chips sopped up the flavor so well. That combined with the runny yolk and that’s exactly how chilaquiles should come.
Overall, loved the homemade vibe of this place. Felt like I was at having a meal at someone’s home.
Definitely recommend if you want a cheap, authentic, delicious breakfast or...
