Had lunch at this restaurant on our trip and it was just so so... Our waiters were friendly but the service was slow. I don't know why as only the terrace was full. It took 10 minutes before someone came with menus, 15 to get our drinks and another 30 to get our meal. And the appetizer we ordered arrived after our lunch plates (by a few minutes but still). All of our food was fried so it shouldn't have taken so long. We all ordered the fish and chips and we're disappointed with our plate. We had a good portion of fish but the tiniest amount of French fries. They we're cold and store bought. That's it! No piece of greenery or coleslaw. Our calamari appetizer was over cooked and chewy but it was a nice portion to share.
That said, we loved the daiquiri (strawberry and the other mango) and the lemonade. And again the staff was super nice. They brought us a plate with a sort of toastada with refried bean and delicious dipping sauce on the house. It was nice to have something different then the usual guacamole and tortillas. So cudos there! I would give them another try in case the waiting time was abnormal (maybe they we're short staff?) but I would not reorder the same meal.Other meals that people had at other tables looked much better then ours.
Prices we're average. Not cheap but not extravagant either.
One last thing that is not directed at the restaurant per say but more on how thing are done or tolerated.
It really annoyed me that all kind of vendors could stroll on the terrace and try to sell us things as we are eating or chatting. They go away when we say no but we had to say no to at least 15 people (adults, children, begers, artists) all wanting money. I get that it's a way of life and I don't mind it as much when we are walking around but please not when I'm sitting down for a meal. I wish restaurant would say that they can't come inside where guests are eating but that's just...
Read moreabsolutely great food and great beer. The only complaint I have is one of the host by the name of William offers you deals to go see timeshares and tells you it’s not a timeshare or a vacation club but a private resort. Trying to help him out we agreed for a one hour visit since he convinced us this was a low-key review of a long-term rental establishment, not a vacation club or timeshare sales job. William also told us he would be with us during the presentation and he left in a taxi and we had to suffer through a very high pressure presentation and when the first person didn’t work out they sent the second the third the fourth and finally a fifth. Our one hour turned into three hours and 20 minutes before we were allowed to leave since they were having to call the taxi for us in this gated neighborhood that we were checking out for a long-term rental we thought.. William is extremely friendly but in this case he was dishonest. William is a very friendly fella with a great personality but buyer beware when it comes to believing anything he says about a long term rental . He also told us it was a 20 minute ride to the location and would only take in one hour of our time and it was actually a 40 minute ride. yes we know better than to sit in timeshare presentation but we were told it was not one, buyer beware always. We also ran into a couple at our hotel on the beach who brought up the exact same problem and deception they experienced with them. so please go to the restaurant have a great meal with some of the best friendly staff you’ll ever meet and a wonderful craft beer but don’t take any offer from william such as free tickets for anything or plan on spending half your day getting sold something you didn’t want and having to experience a rude and very angry salesman when we...
Read moreFood was terrible, views were amazing. We order wings a burger and two fish and chips, calamari and drinks and although the burgers and wings were ok (nothing special but not outright gross) just basic the seafood was disgusting. By far the worst seafood we have had in our lives. Overcooked and an insane amount of batter on everything. The views here were amazing at sunset, which helped to lesson the blows. It also took a very long time to get our food when there was not many people there. two other tables and it took over an hour to get anything and all came at the same time even though we specified that the calamari was an appetizer. I regret eating here because there are some amazing restaurants in Mexico but this is not...
