Busy busy place with basic foodstuffs. Stick with the Mexican offerings on this “Italian” cafe. The service is outstanding. Friendly, fast and efficient. The fettuccini a la Bolognese was more like a bouillon-based stew. The best part was the kraft Parmesan cheese. It was water-based and needed a spoon to be eaten because the fettuccine kept breaking for being overcooked. If there was any tomato on the sauce, it came from the knorr tomato bullion they probably used. Not sure, but Definitely not a tomato sauce. That said, the Mexican offering are decent.

This place was a simple breakfast place in a good location. There's some bad reviews here that from my experience seem a little unfair, if you want 5* go to the 5* hotel on the corner. This is obviously a local run diner doing local food pretty well. We got Huevos Rancheros and Pancakes, they were pretty good. The coffee was good too and drinks decent. The service was a little abrupt to start with but again it's a diner style place so if I wanted 5* I would have sought out 5*. I wanted honest good food for a reasonable price and it delivered

Bertico Café sits right next to the main square in Mexico City, making it a super convenient stop if you want to take a break while exploring the Centro Histórico. The outdoor seating along the sidewalk has a laid-back, chill vibe — perfect for people-watching and soaking in the atmosphere of the plaza. The coffee itself is on the lighter side, as is common with most places in Mexico, so don’t expect a strong brew. That said, the friendly and attentive service more than makes up for it, making Bertico Café a cozy spot to pause and recharge.

Worst cafe in two years of global travel.

The club sandwich was fine and the outdoor table was clean.

On the other hand, the older camarera refused to supply more hot water for the very small cup of tea that my partner had. Anywhere else, one decent-sized cup of tea may have been enough. Because it was so small, she asked for some more hot water, as she had done in many places, only to be refused. So we had to pay for two cups of tea; both of which were very small! When I went to pay the bill, the senior woman asked for a propina. I refused and told her why. She accepted my comment without an apology. This is a money-grabbing business. Don’t...
