Atmospheric restaurant in the center of the historic district.

We came as tourists but one of us is quite fluent in Spanish and even he struggled to communicate with the servers. It seemed they were being deliberately confusing and we felt very uncomfortable in the restaurant our entire meal. They made a fuss saying everyone was required to order two course though most of us didn’t want a second course.

The food that came was bland. We tried every dish at the table and the only acceptable ones were the mole (which was the best I have had yet), the tostados, and their seasonal chile dish, which was interesting and served in a delicious cream. Otherwise they were quite unimpressive. Rice was unflavorful and overcooked, meat wasn’t even salted…

The server kept coming back to the table to try and sell us things.

I was glad to leave. Bland food for that price and at such small portions,...

The food was excellent and authentic Mexican. The lamb Tacos and Tortilla Soup likewise. They have a bean filled Fried Plantain that was delicious. The chocolate dessert the best I've had in Mexico. But the atmosphere was extraordinary. A beautifully renovated old Villa with a collection of crafts and art pieces that were museum quality. If you eat there, take 15 minutes to tour the upstairs floor and see how beautiful it all is. The decor, planters, rawed iron balconies, floral and plant assembly was truly aesthetic. Can't wait to return to Mexico City to eat...

Apparently, this was the house of a president in the 1800s? Nice place to discover mexican cuisine.

Our last dinner took place at this restaurant, and oh boy it was phenomenal The restaurant is located in the heart of the City of Mexico, this the commercial district, what a pristine area. Inside the restaurant, you get that colonial feeling due to its beautiful structure. The service is only comparable with the french style, super polite people will take care of your order, and finally the food we ordered was out of this world. By far the best. Prices are very affordable. Strongly recommended.
