Izakaya — Restaurant in Mexico City

Nice place Nice touches in dining room. Decor of huge gallon glass bottles is garish. Looks like cheap wine but I believe a kind of oil? Never “table touched” by a manager on a slow evening. We arrived mid service and tho the waiter took a while to address us, we ordered several items and to our dismay, they all arrived within 5 minut of each other. Felt like either the waiter wanted to rush us or he just didn’t know how to delay appetizers and main courses. We did not return anything to wait but it was clear that there was no room on the table left and they kept bringing food! It was comedic. We were very disappointed with this restaurant and very surprised with the concurence and rating given the poor quality of the food. We ordered the spicy duck ramen and the brisket teriyaki ramen and both broths were completely bland. The whole point of ramen broth is its richness and the time required for it to acquire depth and complexity of taste. We don't know why the noodles were cut to a small size, which is completely unorthodox and anticlimatic and the price was way to high for bad, forgetable ramen. If you're re looking to order ramen I honestly discourage you from visiting this place, especially since there are many very good ramen restaurants...

This was the worst food I have ever had, in the States or Mexico. Extremely overpriced for the quality. The whole process took over an hour and it was excruciatingly slow and bland. It’s a miracle this place is even open. Drinks were fine, however, all of the food came barely warm and bland. The lettuce wraps we ordered were soggy and lacking flavor, not salt or soy sauce helped. Please save your money and go to Orinoco down the street for some high quality tacos for a fraction of the price. If I could rate the restaurant less than 1 star, I would.
