One of the famous tacos in Mexico are the “Tacos al Pastor”, which I use to have when I was studying in Mexico, more than 40 years ago. You would go to a small an humble restaurant where they would have a similar grill used to prepare Doner Kebab with a vertical burner, but using pork macerated on many spices, chiles and herbs. On top over the grill a pineapple. The cook would take a piece of paper, a corn tortilla, and with a large knife he would cut the pork over the tortilla, finally with a swing of the knife, he could cut a piece of the pineapple, capturing in the air with the tortilla and pork, he would add chipped onions and herbs, placing all on a cheap plastic dish. You could order as many tacos as you wanted. When finished they would count the number of papers where the tortilla was laid, giving the final charge that you would pay in cash.
Today, there are many restaurants that serve tacos, some fancier than the others, being one of the “La Casa del Pastor”, you can order as many as you want, but now instead of papers you have a computer.
To my surprise, they now have “Taco al Pastor Negro” (black), has the same process, but instead of pork they un cow meat (“Arrachera”). It is a highly...

I try to never talk about prices of the places I visot but sometimes the quality you get for such a high price leaves me no choice but to mention it. That's the case of this "old tortillas and unflavorful beef at the highest possible prices" place. Waiters were never there and didn't pay attention to our orders. That system they use for ordering is a complete mess. All your table needs to mark what you want on a piece of paper, they take it and come back later with your dishes without knowing who to give them to. Food was bad and service was so terrible that our table was full of dirty dishes...
Read moreLess than 1 star. Cynthia is very rude to anyone. After asking in Spanish multiple times she continued to ignore us and continue to treat any non-tourist with any respect. This will be raised with management and addressed as an International firm that do not represent Cynthia's believes in line with La Casa del Pastor. Cynthia believes that her company respect her responsibility towards customers and the nature in which she treated us and the shame she brought towards La Casa del Pastor, you should not employ someone who treats people in this manner. She is rude and supposedly respects her "management" rather than the customers that fund her wage. You would be better off as a company to remove this disrespect towards the company and your customers, than maintain someone who states it is "not her problem". To anyone that can read this, a zenophobic sexist member of staff is not worth your hourly rate. Cynthia and her racist ways need to be removed from Mexico city. What a shame on your country that someone like her can be serving the people...
