A cozy pizza shop serving up rotating flavors weekly, paired with great service! Bonanza, a five-table restaurant in Condesa, is a café in the morning and a pizza shop at night, offering a small menu reflective of its intimate location. The menu includes two pizzas (a Margherita and a rotating chef’s choice), a salad, a pasta option, and cheesecake for dessert, along with a very limited drink selection. When we visited, the chef’s choice pizza featured a beet sauce, burrata, and pistachios. We were intrigued, so we ordered it along with a ginger beer. The server was very friendly and took the time to explain the concept of the restaurant. Interestingly, the pasta also rotates monthly, though it was unavailable during our visit (unfortunate, because it was a tortellini with sweet potato). The pizza didn’t take long to arrive. It was simple yet flavorful, with the beet sauce adding a nice touch. Overall, it was a light, tasty pizza (8/10). While the pizza could be shared by two people, pairing it with a salad or pasta would make for a more complete meal. The sourdough crust was the highlight—absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and homey, and loved the small, intimate space. However, accessing the restroom felt a bit inconvenient since you had to go down under the counter and enter the house. Pricing was average, with the chef’s choice pizza at $275. The ginger beer was $65, though there wasn’t a drink menu to confirm pricing. The server mentioned that their social media page regularly updates the chef’s choice of the week. Overall, I had a lovely dinner at this tiny pizza shop tucked away in the Condesa neighborhood and can’t wait to try the other pizza (and pasta) options they create. One note to add, the pizzeria only opens three days a week and mostly for late lunch, dinner service.

Their sourdough pizza is light, flavorful, and made with top-quality local organic ingredients. I love that any pizza can be made vegan, and their plant-based cheese is incredibly tasty. My husband fell in love with their pizza dello Chef from the first bite! This was our second visit, and both the Pizza dello Chef and Margherita (veganized) were just as spectacular as the first time. Perfectly baked, easily digestible, and full of flavor. Plus, the cozy, friendly atmosphere makes it feel like home. Can’t wait to be back! Ready to try the ravioli 😋

I can safely say this was the best pizza I’ve had in CDMX. There’s some real innovation happening here in the same vein as una pizza and ops in nyc. When we were there the chefs special pie was this insanely good bechamel, sweet potato, blue cheese pie that seriously was next level. Also, definitely get their basque cheesecake. They also had a delicious vino verde which paired perfectly with the pie. Will absolutely be returning soon!

Here, you can taste the quality. I left having tried a slice of each one of their pizzas, the burrata salad, and the pappardelle all tartufata, much more than my stomach could handle. Despite having eaten so much, I didn’t leave feeling heavy or sick. I felt satisfaction and full in the best way possible. The simplicity and quality of the ingredients, the familiar atmosphere and the hospitable service in combination made this place perfection. Now I just wish I had one at home, as I am visiting. I have to recommend the pesto, cherry tomatoe, apple and goat cheese pizza. You...
