Service: Super Slow, (place wasn't full) It took them around 5 minutes to be ready to sit me inside (where it's definitely too small, and awkward when someone walks into the toilet). Chef/Cooker's service/attitude can definitely improve. Waiter was incredibly welcoming though and attentive. Conclusion do try to avoid sitting inside.
Food: -Taco de Asada: Meat was flavourless and the whole grill experience doesn't really work when the meat is tasteless. -Taco Taurino: Combinination just didn't really work for me, poor texture and lack of quality in the ingredients = nothing really to remember, not worth waiting for them to prepare another one. -Volcan de Asada: Again, same problem as the Taco de Asada, although you can find more flavour due to the addition of the mashed beans bed and the flavour of the "toasted" maiz tortilla, but again not from the meat. -Taco vegetariano: This one has more personality, I'd definitely change the gouda cheese to something less intrusive that blends better with the huitlacoche rather than stealing the spotlight, I did order another one of these. Waiter told me all about the weekend special and it sounded really good, unfortunately o5 wasn't ready yet to be served (place had been open for a good couple of hours).
Salsas: Green and "Molcajeteada" both actually pretty good Tortillas: Maiz is standard I was expecting something more handcrafted, Harina same thing and lack flavour
I paid $380 aprox for the tacos and 2 sparkling waters, but left hungry :(
Conclusion: Definitely not thinking...

My 2 recent visits have been grossly underwhelming.
The first time the tacos arrived cold (after waiting for 20+ minutes).
The second time the meat was dry and no where near the tender, juicy flavors I fondly recalled. Also no pickled onions were served.
The service did not have the same warmth and energy as before.
Very sad because I really liked their tacos. Hopefully these are only 2 unique incidents.

Highly recommend the taco de asada 🥩 the meat is super juicy and tender.
The green sauce & pickled onions are also extremely tasty 😋
Default is with flour tortilla, but you can ask for it to be substituted with corn tortilla to make it gluten free.
Great vibes...
Read moreSo, my husband and I came here on our Airbnb host's suggestion. When we walked in, it was pretty empty except for an employee chowing down at the counter—kinda weird, but we went with it. We got seated quickly outside and ordered some drinks, plus guac and five tacos. From my vantage point, I could see the cook, preparing our food. I counted THREE times that he tasted/sampled, perhaps gleaned (?) from our food. I’m talking full on licking his fingers and then back to preparing food. I flagged down the waiter, told him we weren't sticking around, and my husband asked for the bill. The waiter was understanding and waived the bill for our drinks and guac. Such a bummer experience for our first few hours...
