The Brooklyn Spekeasy — Restaurant in Mexico City

Walk up to a cute Italian restaurant, ask for the secret bar, and you’ll soon be escorted through the restaurant, the kitchen, and a secret code locked door to Brooklyn… a moody speakeasy with well crafted cocktails. Don’t be fooled by the tame restaurant decor out front, this bar has a style. From the loungy couches to a secret open roof, to the classic creations served in chic glassware with modern garnishes, the back room is a cool hangout spot to impress your visiting friends. They offer some food, but I had just come from dinner so we spent our 2 hours there hanging out over drinks and good conversations. Pro tip: call ahead to make a reservation because they can fill up pretty quickly...

Its so cute! From the outside you would never know. The atmosphere inside was giving sexy Friends(The TV show) vibes. Not sure about the reservation but we just showed up and they let us in. Its a small space but with just enough seating for all the people in there. The bartenders took their time and perfected every drink we ordered. The drinks aren't your typical Sex on the beach or Cosmo and I loved it. I tried some things that puzzled me in a great way. I would recommend this place for couples or small groups...

The best bar in CDMX as far as I'm concerned.

It's hard to compete with Handshake's unique cocktails but this place offers a totally different, much more relaxed vibe with cocktails that absolutely hold their own and fantastic service to boot. While Handshake and Hanky Panky are fun experiences, this is the only bar of those three that I could see myself going to regularly to relax and have a couple drinks.
