We went here on a whim while traveling, and it was so great! I was a little confused upon arriving because there were a ton of people waiting for the restaurant next door, but nobody in Tres Galeones, so we were crossing our fingers that it would be good, and it totally delivered. We got great advice about the menu from the young waiter, we were served quickly, the music was fun, the salsas were delicious, and the space was comfortable. We ordered the Tuna Ceviche (my favorite), Sopas specialty, Tuna Salad (big!), Fish Carnitas tacos, and a Marlin Crispy Cheese Taco. All of it was awesome, and all of it very reasonably priced (~MX$120 each). We left feeling totally satisfied with the flavors and the amount of food in our bellies. Those people waiting an hour for the place next door are missing out on a great spot, even if just for an appetizer to...
Read moreWe visited this place as a part of our food tour ( booked through TripAdvisor) in Roma Norte. This is a cute chic spot offering Mexican food with some twist and tweak. We didn’t order our own menu. As a part of the food tour, we have been offered to taste the seafood taco here. There was one taco with some seafood and topped by crispy chicharron, another tiny one with shrimp. Both of them were terrific. The different salsas ( one of them was a Mexican variation of chinese chilli in oil) the table were hot, and spicy and right on spot. To wash them down, there was some lemongrass tea. The tea was cool ( not too cold), soothing and very refreshing to quench the thirst. Overall, I loved the whole food experience here.
I don’t know why it’s showing as ‘temporarily closed’! we ate here at this place just...
Read moreA small spot to sit down and get good food quick. Much better than fast food, but more casual than a full sit-down dining experience. They have a wide menu, but the specialty is seafood. Everything I've tried is top notch, but my favorite is the shrimp Baja tacos, the left in the picture.
They also serve michelada, a traditional beer based spicy cocktail, but be warned - they bring you the ingredients and you mix it yourself, so you'll either want to ask for some guidance or go easy on spice.
The staff speaks some English, and has the menu in English as well, so don't be afraid to stop by even if you don't speak the language - this place is definitely...
