VICINATO ristorante — Restaurant in Mexico City

We found this fabulous little restaurant by looking at all of the GREAT reviews….we were so happy that it lived up to all of the praise written about it. It is a tiny hole in the wall, a no frills sort of restaurant where the food steals the show, We had the best Cacio y Pepe pasta outside of Rome. The homemade bucatini was actually better than what we experienced in Italy! The grilled Caesar salad was delicious and fresh. We were lucky to meet Alfredo, the amazing chef and owner behind Vicinato and to hear about his culinary path that led him to opening this fabulous restaurant less than a year ago. Compact Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.

Complimentary bread was served warm 👍 Arugula salad was refreshing with the lemon dressing 🍋 The seafood pasta was mildly spicy and the portion was generous 🌶️ my only wish was for the pasta to be more al dente; it tasted too doughy for my liking. If not the sauce was really delicious!

The drinks took a while to come. The lady was quite friendly. The focaccia was not good - like a brick and lacked any salt. Couldn’t eat this.
