Le Castelet Zipolite Cafetería — Restaurant in Oaxaca

El servicio es deficiente. Se entiende que están abiertos en año nuevo pero no es pretexto para que no se respete el turno de las mesas. Pedimos solo 3 platillos los cuales tardaron 1 hr porque atendieron mesas que llegaron después de nosotros. Y mi comida estaba fría. Cuando la regresé el mesero fue prepotente y cuando se pidió hablar con la responsable entendimos que compartían el mismo pensamiento de la poca actitud de servicio. La señora pidió que nos mandaran la cuenta sin antes pedirla. Prácticamente nos corrió del establecimiento. Jamás recomendaría ni los alimentos ni el servicio de este lugar. Lástima que se inicio el año con esta situación que ofrece este "restaurante".

The service is poor. It is understood that they are open in the new year but it is not a pretext so that the turn of the tables is not respected. We ordered only 3 dishes which took 1 hr because they attended tables that arrived after us. And my food was cold. When I returned the waiter was arrogant and when asked to speak with the responsible we understood that they shared the same thought of the low attitude of service. 5 for the friendly service and 3 for the food, which was just ok. Salsa was nice though. The strawberry and cacao smoothie hardly had any strawberry flavor. Maybe 1 strawberry was mixed in there. And I was expecting an amazing coffee after reading the great reviews, but found my iced coffee to be very bitter and disappointing. Adding more milk and sugar helped, but a good coffee can...

On every trip to Zipolite, I’ve spent over 90% of my mornings eating breakfast at Le Castelet. The service is stellar, the food is amazing, the juice is always fresh, and the coffee: best in Zipolite!
