This has to be the best place we have eaten in our one week in playa del Carmen. And it’s street food. Not full meals. The owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. He chatted with us while we waited for our grilled sausage sandwich made fresh right in front of the store on his grill. Amazing chimmichuri and sweet onion on the sausage made it so amazing. I can’t express how awesome it was!!! Only about $5 usd.

The service was great and the staff super friendly. We tried the Argentine empanadas. We loved the atmosphere and prices. Strongly recommend it!

Super tasty empanadas. Baked not fried. Beef empanada was super flavorful and the chicken was delicious. You have to get it with the salsa and hot sauce. It’s amazing. Really nice guy runs the shop. Had to make sure I reviewed it because it really is a hidden gem. Just about $5 for two empanadas is pricey. But to be honest the traditional Mexican food in the area lacks a lot of flavor.
