I recently dined at Send Ramen in Mexico, and I was thoroughly impressed with both the food and the service. I had the Ramen Mijangos and the Steak and Ramen, both of which exceeded my expectations.
The Ramen Mijangos was a perfect blend of rich miso broth, tender beef sausage, and crispy pork crackling. The addition of a sunny-side-up egg added a creamy texture, and the spicy sesame oil gave the dish just the right amount of heat to elevate the flavors without overwhelming the palate. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, making it one of the best ramen experiences I've had.
The Steak and Ramen was equally impressive. The miso broth had a deep, savory flavor, and the New York strip steak was cooked to perfection—tender and juicy. The crispy leeks and shiitake mushrooms added a wonderful crunch that contrasted nicely with the soft noodles, making for a well-balanced and satisfying meal.
The service was outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout the meal. They provided excellent recommendations and were knowledgeable about the menu.
Overall, Send Ramen delivers top-notch food with impeccable service. If you’re in Mexico and looking for a great ramen experience, this place should be at the top...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews for restaurants, but I felt I had to in this case. This was probably the worst ramen I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if it was just a bad day, or if they completely burned the broth, but it tasted terrible—like the entire dish was made from burned broth.
To make things worse, they added a ridiculous amount of corn—easily a whole can’s worth. I’ve included a photo showing how I had to scoop it out with a spoon and set it aside. There was barely any noodles in comparison. Honestly, there was more corn than noodles, which just makes no sense.
Even the drink was bad. It was supposedly sweetened with stevia, but it tasted like thick, artificial lemon syrup. Everything about this meal was horrible.
Avoid this place...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews for restaurants, but this situation really concerned me.
Today, I took my family out to enjoy a children’s movie. The food and service were honestly great, no complaints there.
However, my family is learning Spanish, and during our visit, my youngest daughter overheard someone yelling 'Baboso' from the back of the kitchen. She asked me what it meant, so I looked it up and I was pretty shocked to find out it’s an insult.
I found it really upsetting that we were trying to enjoy a family-friendly movie, yet we could clearly hear inappropriate language and negativity coming from the kitchen. That just doesn’t sit right with me in a place meant for kids...
