Delicious spot for breakfast plates, toasts, smoothies, and coffee! Everything on the menu is vegan, and it’s a great place for a healthy breakfast or lunch. The smoothies/bowls are definitely stronger than the savory options, but everything was delicious. 🌱🧆🥙🌮🥑🥥🍌🫐☕️🧉

There is a range of savory and sweet options, and across the 5 of us our food+drink averaged $16 USD per person.
Mango Bowl: base of mango, pineapple, banana, lúcuma, agave, topped with mango, amaranth, dates, strawberries, soaked oats, almonds ⭐️ Sweet, and the base is like eating refreshing mango sorbet!
Açaí smoothie - Açaí, blueberries, spinach, banana, hemp protein, coconut milk, agave ⭐️ Incredible smoothie. Sweet, and struck a good balance between creamy and refreshing!!
Spiced Coffee - frappe with almond milk, dates, organic coffee, cardamom, almond butter ⭐️ So unique, slightly sweet and creamy with almond flavor, and has an espresso’s worth of coffee in it!
Avocado toast with radish, organic sprouts, hemp hearts and toasted seeds Very yummy!
Chickpea omelette filled with chaya, chambray onion, coated in black bean sauce, topped with avocado, almond cheese, pickled radish and coriander This one was creamy and veggie-forward. Less of an omelette experience, more focused on the filling than the outer shell, with lots of chaya (Mexican tree spinach). I liked the almond cheese — creamy and mild. The black bean sauce is also delicious!
Green chilaquiles with a base of black beans, served with cheese, cream, red onion and avocado Get it if you like salsa verde, but if not maybe skip.
Green enchiladas filled with scrambled tofu, grilled mushrooms, cream, cheese, radish and purslane The scrambled tofu inside isn’t the most flavorful, but the salsa verde is delicious, giving it more of a sour flavor profile than the chickpea omelette.
Homemade chickpea falafel with lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and tahini dressing Lacked a little flavor, but had great texture with very fresh veggies and a nice pita. Tahini...
Long story short, if you are a tourist and like or are in need of simple healthy food and nutritious hydration (helps in this heat), you are in the clear.
For a detailed version: Food is healthy and I enjoyed taking my lunch breaks there. As a regular customer (going three or more times a week for at least a year now and often ordering for multiple people) I can say the service is spotty. While enjoying my "for here" smoothie while waiting for my 4 to-go food orders they have asked me to get out of my seat to let more people sit instead of waiting 2 minutes for me to finish and get my food. I've never seen them move anyone who was enjoying even just a drink be asked to move. Most recently i accidentally order walnuts instead of the cashews i order every time so I thought she was bringing me a napkin for the walnuts but the server brought me the paper to show me my order and then said i had to pay extra for the 8 or 9 cashews I'd get for my salad. Her colleague then said to just give me the cashews (he might have paid for it and I would've made sure I tipped extra to cover the nuts and actual service) and she proceeded to say no I need to pay. I have cashews (along with all of the ingredients I need to make the dish I just ordered from them at home) so I just asked for a togo container. It's just too much to go through for some nuts. Funnily enough, I am updating the review she specifically asked me to write and mention her by name months ago as I have only written reviews when...
Read moreFresco Habitos in Playa del Carmen is an absolute delight! During our 7-day stay, we found ourselves returning four times because everything was so delicious and fresh. The smoothies and freshly squeezed juices are top-notch, offering a burst of flavor and vitality with every sip. Their buddha bowls and toast options are equally impressive, packed with fresh ingredients and creative combinations that leave you feeling satisfied and nourished. The coffee is also a standout, perfectly brewed and delicious.
The ambiance at Fresco Habitos is simply gorgeous. The space is super cute and beautifully decorated, with cascading pothos adding a touch of nature and tranquility to the interior. The mural on the wall is absolutely stunning, too. There are plenty of tables and bar seating, and the bar seating is ideal for people-watching and enjoying the day go by. They also have a bunch of fans blowing from the ceiling inside, so on the hottest of days, you can stay cool while enjoying your meal. They do to-go orders as well, which is convenient if you're heading to the beach.
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time. I highly recommend Fresco Habitos to any visitor in Playa del Carmen. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy fresh, tasty, and wholesome food in a charming and...
