I came here two years ago and it was so fun- we met Charlie- he was very outgoing and personable, amazing food and service! So two years later I brought my friends and family here again. Charlie is clearly very involved in all aspects of the restaurant which is apparent in multiple "god-like" art works featuring his likeness that adorn the space. Today Charlie made our drinks, which were as to order and not skimping on the tequila. When he brought the drinks my husband asked if he was the bartender, so that he could compliment him on the drinks. Apparently this offended Charlie. Even though he literally made the drinks..... very awkward and uncomfortable. If we hadn't been a larger group that had already ordered we would have walked out. When my husband apologized and explained he meant no offense by calling the "owner" a "bartender" it just got more awkward. Very inappropriate for an "owner" in my opinion. The food here is phenomenal. Charlie will decided if he likes you.... usually helps to be a female ;) As for my husband and I... If your ego is so big you can't take a compliment properly we won't...

I popped in quickly to kill 10 minutes whilst waiting for my bus (bus station located next door).
I bought a tea. I quickly rushed to the toilet before I had to leave. I drank my tea as I walked to the toilet.
I placed my cup of tea on the ledge outside of the toilet area, by the sinks. It was finished by the time I got to the toilet, so I placed it there.
As I walked back I heard a voice abruptly say ‘you left your tea by the toilet’. Thinking they were being helpful, I politely replied by explaining that it was finished and thanked them.
This obnoxious man then told me not to leave it there and to bring it back to the table (approx 10m from restaurant).
I was unaware who this arrogant man was, whilst he leant back on his chair, ordering a customer around (whilst 5 of his staff stood about). I was shocked, when he told me he was the owner..!
The rest of the staff seemed lovely but I wouldn’t pay money to be spoken...
Read moreFantastic food, service and drinks! Local long time institution with great open air palapa and covered dining rooms, gorgeous little bar, small fine art gallery. Loved the food and friendly, knowledgeable staff so much, we came back for dinner again 3 days later.
Some highlights from meals with friends included carnitas, poblano sauce and mole seasoned entrees.
Special thanks for both gluten free options and fantastic wine service when we arranged to bring in a very special occasion bottle with friends to enjoy after the margaritas.
Well placed soft volume TV in back for keeping up on the big games doesn't interrupt the chilled out vibe and...
