Matcha Mama Aldea Zama — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Sorry to write this but I guess it can be useful for the potential clients. I came for some coconut water after the beach but they were out of it. Moreover, I was told that if I want it I should come in the morning, because they run out of it every afternoon. Erm, interesting approach to the business. Okay, I asked for a fresh coconut which was in the menu, but I was told that they only sell in the beach outlet :). My next try - fresh watermelon juice: I was told to grab a "pink bottle" from the fridge, what I did. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with the watermelon juice (super bitter) and asked the staff. Oh, it was grapefruit juice! Same pink colour, next to the watermelon in the fridge. I was told I could replace it, no problem, but it was already too much. The last but not the least: there is no toilet...

I’m a big Matcha Mama fan and have visited many of their locations several times. However the last few times at this location have been a huge disappointment. Their hours are not as advertised and sometimes the employees decide not to take orders despite being open for another hour. The worst part? How they scam tourists. I’ve seen first hand many times (and happened to me too) when they claim their credit card machine is broken and can only take cash (both pesos and USD) but then mention that they cannot give you any change at all. I saw people complaining that they’ve been overpaying several times now. The staff here is extremely rude compared to other locations. Go to the Ikal one instead.
