Vintage Café in Tulum has quickly become our favorite spot for breakfast and lunch. Tucked away in the charming enclave of Aldea Zama, the café’s unassuming location makes it a delightful hidden gem. The mango smoothie bowl is a perfect way to start the day, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. We also love the diverse array of egg dishes and lunches, each prepared with care and creativity. Our visits are always enhanced by Vicente, our ever-friendly server, who greets us with a smile and provides exceptional service. Vintage Café’s cozy atmosphere and consistently excellent food make it a must-visit for anyone in Tulum.

Vintage is one of the best places to have breakfast in Aldea Zama, and have been coming here for years. Small cafe with personal attention by the owner, you eat sorrounded by jungle bird sounds. Closed on Mondays. I really like the omelette campesino with Pamela cheese, my husband tends to order the motuleño eggs that are very good. Can also recommend the bowls and quesadillas. They have alternative milks for all tastes. Prices are in line with what you find in Zama, actually cheaper vs other sorrounding options, but here you always know you get consistent good quality and great flavours.

I’ve been coming to this place since October and cannot say enough great things about it - the people, the service, the food. The owner is so kind and makes you feel at home. The food is always fresh, the people are always nice and the WiFi is GREATTTT! I work from here often. PS: during hurricane season, Vintage was the ONLY place open and serving what they could since electricity was out in the neighborhood, just showing up for their community as best as they could. This place is the best! Oh, and the popeye salad is delishhhh!

I’ve been here twice. The food is actually pretty good, but the service is a bit bizarre. The first time I went I asked to be seated and the server outside pointed me to the menu so I could first see if there was anything I wanted before sitting down. Once I said I did see things I liked, he said “Do you have cash? Cash only.” I said yes I did have cash and then he took me to a table. His behavior made it seem like he definitely did not want me to be there.

Online said they closed at 6 but at 4 the waiter said they were closing up. I guess that happens sometimes — just something to keep in mind.

I really enjoyed my salad while there and I thought maybe the server was just having an off day, so I went back a second time.

The second time the man who greeted me outside was super nice and welcoming. But then I was sat at a table with that same server from the first time and he had that same attitude.

He waited until I sat down to say, “Do you have cash? Cash only.” Once I said yes it seemed like he was either disappointed or annoyed that I would be staying and ordering something . He took my order and then once he brought me what I ordered he disappeared. I had to go find him to ask for my check because I had to go.

It’s a cute little place and it has some good food and coffee but I don’t know what I’m the world is going on with...

We visited on a slow weekday morning where we were the only ones there upon arrival. The woman serving and taking our order had an attitude as though she were annoyed we walked inside. The food was ok (a little bland- we needed to ask for hot sauce to help it out), the juices and coffee were good, the prices OK. Upon asking for a check and attempting to pay with a card we were only then told that it was cash only. There are no signs in the cafe or anything online that would indicate cash only. The woman stood firm so some of us had to then leave to find an ATM to get pesos. The woman all throughout was very curt with us and made for not a relaxing morning or experience. Based on the ok quality of the food and the service being poor, we wouldn’t recommend. There are so many other cute cafes in this city more...

Started off so slow, Told us 5 minutes for a table, took 45 to get seated (he knew I'm standing there with two kids too). No wonder the prior table took so long too. We ordered, then after 30 more minutes the drinks came but he forgot my elderly mother in law's drink. We reminded him two times but she didn't get it until after all everyone else was done with their food, then sat eating cold food alone while we had to deal with an antsy kid due the slow service. The food itself is ok but pretty tiny portions compared to others nearby. I'd avoid this unless there are no others there because they're understaffed and the servers are just kind of weird/don't know what...
