Onigiri Casa Poke (Tulum) — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

The very first time it was good. We liked that we could choose our ingredients. The second time we were so excited but they messed up our order (they also did first time but no big deal since they added a different thing that is ok), but the second time they didn’t have half of the things we wanted, and they didn’t recommend something or asked they were just trapped in the negative which is annoying for a customer. We ended up changing our bowls a bit too much from what we wanted but decided to give it a try and well, that didn’t go well. The sea weed they use is wet and they don’t specify so we got gross wet sea weed. Also, i asked for onigiri two times and they still forgot it at the end. Wanted to charge us something completely different (more obviously) and when checking the check and the order well, they were not including my onigiri and i was rlly not going to wait more :( so yeah, good but not reliable or consistent. Wife and I tried this spot to take a break from the local cuisine. We both ordered the bigger bowl size; we ate everything and it was a good portion. The time from ordering to getting the food was slower than other poke places we had been to (Hawaii), but maybe because wife got the udon instead of rice. The taste was good, it definitely satisfies your poke craving. Towards the end of my bowl, it needed more sauce. They gave us soy sauce on the side which I added towards the end. We found this place because of the reviews online and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! I love when the food looks exactly as advertised and that’s what we got with even better taste. The staff was incredibly friendly and very wise with their recommendations. The fish was extremely fresh and prepared perfectly!
