Food was soggy, service was poor.. waiter acted annoyed that he had to serve his tables. The waiters were commenting on everyone’s tips or lack there of out loud in front of everyone. Save your time and money and go elsewhere .

Edit after manager replied: isn’t it more unlikely that a bunch of tourists come here to pretend events never occurred and purposely bash your incredible restaurant ? I think so. Tourists and patrons around the world have an unspoken civic duty to each other to report and recommend places so that our money is not wasted, the little time we do have is spent accordingly and greatly and so that we can avoid the in between. I suggest, you simply address your workers and take a little responsibility. The steak, WAS bland and pale. The waiters WERE forgetful and hounding checks discussing tips, or lack thereof (wonder why that is) and the experience WAS subpar. This goes for myself, my guest, and everyone else who just so happens to share the same opinion and you just so happened to defend yourself against, offensively. After our first visit, we were there every morning for breakfast unless we had a morning boat dive. The best menu for our breakfast and lunch!! I'm particular about eggs being thoroughly cooked, and the chef got them consistently done to perfection. Fresh fruit with each plate was a perfect addition to breakfast. Iced tea with fresh lime was our beverage of choice. Excellent, welcoming and accommodating service, impeccably clean restaurant, excellent menu and food presentation. I did not eat waffles/pancakes, but family members said they are excellent, and the syrup is incredible. It is a wonderful thing when traveling to find a place to eat that you know you'll have a great meal, no matter what you choose on the menu. Thank you to everyone at Rock 'n Java!! Having dietary restrictions on an island where everything is closed on Sunday and you’re somewhat tired of tacos created the perfect storm for frustration. I took a chance on rock’n’java after seeing a Facebook post indicating that they have gluten free bread. They did! Not only did they have gluten free bread (contains eggs) but the servers were quite knowledgeable about ingredients and patiently answered my 1,001 questions. The cherry on top was the portion sizes. I damn near cried when I saw how much food we were getting (see photos).

Husband got the vegetarian burger made isleña style (mushrooms, grilled pineapple & Gouda). I got the tuna salad sandwich. Both of us got the fresh strawberry lemonade. Everything was WONDERFUL! They also have a vegan menu.
