I was at tatewari two days ago with my dog when I was almost assaulted by one of the waiters. It was just after Christmas and the place was packed, and I had to navigate the crowded restaurant with my dog. At one point, he pulled too hard on the leash and almost tripped me, so I gave him a light smack to get his attention. This tall, male waiter who was serving drinks then shouted at me aggressively and acted like he wanted to throw his tray of drinks at me, a woman - for disciplining my own dog. He practically wanted to assault me. I had a terrible experience at this beach club. I hope that the management will educate their staff on treating guests with respect and not instigate violence on them. I would advise people to avoid this place because there are many other wonderful places in Tulum where your safety as a woman is not compromised. I have never met such a rude, obnoxious and self-righteous man. May this man find the help he needs in 2025. And please kindly let this man know that my dog has a better...

Tatewari restaurant is a perfect place to have lunch or dinner and enjoy the Tulum vibes. The restaurant has a new chef and the food and wide otptions of dishes is much better than when we visited a year ago. You can have your food delivered to you to year day bed when you stay at Delek or you can easily get a table in the upper area. We tried lots of different plates and all of them were really delicious. We tried Guacamole, Ceviche de Tulum, Sopes, Ceviche de Pescado del Dia, Tacos to name a few. The dishes made with fish and shrimps were super fresh and all the flavors were mixed perfectly. When you stay at Delek that way you have great hotel, great people and great food.
