Derrière sa façade charmante et son agréable cour arrière, ce restaurant cache une gestion du service déplorable, digne d’un amateurisme flagrant. Malgré une cuisine quasi irréprochable, l’expérience a été gâchée par un enchaînement d’erreurs qui trahissent un manque total de professionnalisme. Comment justifier qu’une table de quatre soit servie de manière aussi incohérente ? Nos tostadas, bien que délicieuses, ont toutes été apportées en même temps, transformant notre repas en un véritable chaos où les saveurs se mélangeaient sans distinction. Pendant ce temps, nos amis, affamés et oubliés, ont dû attendre quinze longues minutes pour recevoir leurs crevettes panées à la noix de coco. Résultat : une table surchargée, une expérience gustative bâclée et une disparité inacceptable dans le rythme du service.

Mais le pire restait à venir. Face à nos remarques, la gérante a fait preuve d’une arrogance inouïe, balayant nos critiques d’un ton condescendant avant d’aller jusqu’à nous traiter de “demeurés”. Une réaction aussi déplacée que scandaleuse, révélant un mépris total pour la clientèle et une incapacité à accepter la moindre remise en question. Qu’un établissement aussi bien situé, avec une cuisine de qualité, se saborde par une telle attitude est à la fois frustrant et affligeant. Un service médiocre peut parfois être excusable, mais l’irrespect, lui, ne l’est jamais.

A pesar de una cocina casi impecable, la experiencia se vio arruinada por una serie de errores que reflejan una falta total de profesionalismo. ¿Cómo se puede justificar que una mesa de cuatro personas sea atendida de manera tan incoherente? Nuestras tostadas, aunque deliciosas, fueron servidas todas al mismo tiempo, convirtiendo nuestra comida en un verdadero caos donde los sabores se mezclaban sin distinción. Mientras tanto, nuestros amigos, hambrientos y olvidados, tuvieron que esperar quince largos minutos para recibir sus camarones empanizados con coco. El resultado: una mesa sobrecargada, una experiencia gastronómica arruinada y una disparidad inaceptable en el ritmo del servicio.

Pero lo peor estaba por venir. Ante nuestros comentarios, la gerente mostró una arrogancia descomunal, desestimando nuestras críticas con un tono condescendiente antes de llegar incluso a llamarnos “atrasados”. Una reacción tan inapropiada como escandalosa, que revela un desprecio total por los clientes y una incapacidad absoluta para aceptar la más mínima crítica. Que un establecimiento tan bien ubicado, con una cocina de calidad, se autoboicotee con semejante actitud es tanto frustrante como lamentable. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious! The place has a lovely vibe, with a nice garden in the back. As a welcome, they serve a mini shrimp soup — so tasty! — along with nachos and salsa.

What really brought the rating down for me was the octopus guacamole. I don't think there was even half an avocado in it, and the octopus was breaded and fried — something that should definitely be mentioned on the menu. Plus, there was so much fried onion on top that it completely covered the dish — all you could taste was onion!

On the other hand, the tacos were spectacular — we had the buttered shrimp, buttered jalapeño, and breaded shrimp tacos. Each one better than the last.

Cocktails? Pretty mediocre — way too sweet and not enough alcohol.

All in all, it’s worth a visit. Prices...

This seafood focused spot right on the famous Calzada de los Frailes ain’t no tourist trap.. al contrario.. it’s the real deal! We came here twice for dinner and left both times full.. happy and smiling. The food? Super tasty. The vibe? Relaxed and local. Service? Warm like the Yucatán sun :-) (Okay.. let’s just forget that one not-so-amazing Ribeye skewer... stuff happens 😅) But everything else was great. Mariscos con queso? Oh God!
