I had an extremely disappointing and shocking experience at Camels Restaurant in Agadir City. Upon entering, the waiter (garçon) stared at me in a disrespectful and hostile manner. He did not welcome me or acknowledge me as a customer. Instead, he blatantly ignored me and looked at me as if I didn’t belong there.
When I approached him to ask for assistance, he moved closer to me with a condescending expression, raising his eyebrows in a dismissive and aggressive way. It was clear he had no intention of serving me. After this rude behavior, he simply walked away.
Feeling humiliated, I decided to speak to the cashier about the incident. While I was explaining the situation, the same waiter returned, started shouting at me, and acted as though he wanted to start a fight. His erratic and aggressive behavior was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe, almost as if he were under the influence of something. Fortunately, the cashier intervened, told him to stop, and apologized to me for his actions.
Another staff member later approached me and explained that this waiter only treats Europeans with respect. He does not treat Arabs or people from other backgrounds equally and only speaks to customers in German and French. This was deeply upsetting, especially since I noticed that all the other customers in the restaurant were European.
It is clear that this restaurant does not value diversity or respect all its customers equally. I strongly discourage anyone who values fairness and good service from visiting this establishment. Discrimination, whether subtle or blatant, has no place in the hospitality industry—or...
Read moreUnfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience due to the staff's attitude and poor service. I invited my family, including my elderly mother who has difficulty walking or standing for long periods. She was the one who recommended Camel Restaurant for this family outing, as she had fond memories of it. Upon arrival, the waitress seated us, arranged the chairs, and everything seemed fine. However, as we started ordering, she suddenly informed us that we couldn’t sit there. She asked us to leave and brought over the manager, who reiterated the same thing. He told us, “Either you eat or get out,” and mentioned that the alcohol prices were higher than what we would order. At this point, we hadn’t even finalized our order or discussed what we were going to eat or drink. I was shocked by how rudely we were treated. If there are specific rules or procedures, such as minimum spending requirements, guests should be informed at the entrance. This situation could have been avoided with clear communication. Instead, we were embarrassed and disrespected, and it ruined our evening. It’s truly unprofessional, and the way the manager handled the situation was unacceptable. We were not there to waste time but to enjoy a nice dinner and drinks as a family. Being treated this way was both unnecessary and deeply disrespectful. Shame on you for handling customers in such a manner. This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and I hope you address this...
Read moreWow!!!! First things first, the Waiters are very approachable and friendly. I was looking forward to eating hummus and pitta the evening I passed by Camel's but the male waiter reassured me that Moroccan Tangine is just as tasty! And he was right!! I am a very picky eater So I was very surprised I loved the food here. I ordered a caprese salad as a starter (it's called tomato and mozzarella on their menu) and after a few bites, I was quite full. The waiter was very nice and said, he can pack it for me to take home! As a main, I ordered Tangine and it came served on a brown hot plate. I'll let the photos speak. Everything was delicious! They served your drinks to you, constantly asked you if you needed any help, waiters are on hand at all times! Lastly, the view! Come for sunset! Seriously. This is the best restaurant to sit back, relax and enjoy the sunset view in the breezy shade without getting burnt at the beach. And also, the atmosphere is amazing even on a quiet night there was live music. I can't recommend this place enough...
