Iâve been traveling around Asia and Africa for the past year and can honestly say this is one of the worst restaurants in the world. We were starving off the bus from Casablanca and stumbled upon this place; though it would be a delicious, home cooked, hole in the wall type place! We were very wrong. We were served old, rotten olives and stale bread to start. We couldnât believe she actually put the olives in front of us and gagged when we tried one. The Moroccan soup was watered down and the only taste was acidity. The meat tajine came out almost instantly (other places took about half hour to cook them since it is Ramadan and most people are having breakfast at 7pm), had only two small cubes of beef, the potatoes and carrots tasted like mold. I assume it was cooked days precious and reheated for us. We only ate a couple bites of each and asked for the check. The woman running the place asked if everything was ok and when I told her âno, everything tasted very badâ, she smiled and thanked us so I assume the English was lost on her. Bottom...

Despite dining at the well-known Clock restaurant the night prior, my wife and I found ourselves favoring Al Wiam. Our order included the Moroccan salad, the roasted red pepper and tomato salad, and the vegetable couscous. Each salad was a delightful burst of freshness with perfectly balanced seasonings. The couscous, rich with flavor, had clearly been lovingly prepared with a generous dose of butter. The vegetables were remarkably fresh, evidently cooked from scratch just for us. Don't forget to request the bluoule sauce, as it elevates the entire meal. The rustic and endearing ambiance adds to the experience. Without a doubt, one of the standout meals of our Morocco tour. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking homestyle,...

The vibe is super warm and welcoming, it honestly feels like youâve been invited into someoneâs home.
The food was incredible. Everything was made with so much care and creativity. I had a meat and prune tajine that was cooked with apples and kiwis which sounds unusual for even a native, but it totally worked. Sweet, savory, and full of flavor. The appetizers and bread were also delicious. The whole menu is very affordable, especially considering how good the food was. Itâs the kind of place you stumble upon and never forget. If youâre in Chefchaouen, definitely hunt...
