Read moreI cannot fault this restaurant everything was perfect the food the ambiance and the service 10/10. The best dinning experience I have ever had.
I highly recommend anyone reading this review to go try it for yourself you will not be disappointed!
I have been trying for over 2 years to try this restaurant out since seeing it on TV and am so glad it was meant to be this time.
The moment we arrived the service was impeccable- a man walked us to the door of the restaurant and held open the door before walking back to his post outside. We walked into a beautiful yet simple dinning room. We were greeted and welcomed by the wonderful host Samira who showed us to our table and spoke to us all (myself, my husband and our daughters). Samira was attentive throughout and extremely professional.
Our waitress Imane was so sweet and extremely professional and the way in which she served the food was so mesmerizing.
We ordered the salads as a starter which came as many small plates and servings of a variety of Moroccan salads. The portions were the perfect size for the number of different salads you get to try. We also has the hummus and taboleh and the stuffed filo pastries.
For mains we ordered the lamb shoulder which is slow cooked for 7 hours as well as a chicken and caramelised onion with raisin tagine and a beef and vegetable couscous. Each meal was perfectly cooked and seasoned and felt like they were cooked with love at home ❤️
Finally we enjoyed a light but very tasty filo pastry with apple and cinnamon served warm with vanilla ice cream and a pot of stay (mint tea) while the kids enjoyed a beautiful made fresh fruit salad.
Thank you to all the ladies working at Al-Fassia from the kitchen to the front of house you all do an amazing job and it really is noticed.
I hope to...
Read moreUpon having the same bland Moroccan food throughout my trip, I have decided to give it the last try in Al Fassia Gueliz in Marrakech. Oh boy, was I not disappointed.
Despite other's complaints about the service, they are friendly and prompt on our request.
Lamb shoulder was absolutely a must-try dishes here. Tender, juicy with a well balanced of fat and meat of lamb that melt in your mouth, coated with a lovely flavored sauce packed full of flavor and spices aroma. It literally dance in your mouth with the melody of spices. Irresistible!
Chicken kebab with tomato sauce and eggs was delicious. Packed full of flavor and the chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy! Incomparable with normal restaurant anywhere else in Morocco.
Tanjia Marrakech taste a bit like the normal chicken with preserved lemon but in a completely different level! Lamb was perfectly cooked, tenderly juicy, accompanied by the complex spiced flavor with preserved lemon. Great eaten with couscous or bread.
Seafood pastilla is another must try dish too. Crispy shells with seafood filling that is bustling with sea umami flavor and squeezed with a little lemon juice to uplift the freshness of the dish. Wonderful!
All in all, it was really a memorable Moroccan dining experience that I will remember for my trip in Morocco as I did not have this quality of food cooked anywhere else around Morocco (limited to medium- high to low range Moroccan restaurant only). Given the price range with the portion of the food, I think it is reasonably cost.
One thing that was a little bit upset was that they did not seemed to remember my reservation when they greeted me. This can be something to improve on.
Must try if you want to have a memorable traditional Moroccan...
