L'Mdina Marrakech — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

Ordered lamb with artichoke and peas tagine for a very late lunch, the waiter said it was great item and I'll enjoy..20-25min later he brings a beef and prune tagine..It looked good but I pointed it out it wasn't what i ordered and did not want it.. he apologised so I had to wait again for the lamb. When it was ready the kitchen rang a bell but the staff at the front of the restaurant were too busy looking at their mobile phones, only a few minutes later when lady in kitchen shouted and rang bell many times did the staff go to collect and bring to me. The restaurant was quiet as late afternoon, just a couple of tables occupied. When food was served it was tasty, although qty of lamb a little small, only with some bread it was a meal. I was given a free tea whilst i waited. I would say food was good but a little underwhelming, think better to get lamb and mixed vegetable tagine that includes some potatoes elsewhere. My Tagine kefta (tomato puree and tasteless meatballs) was completely burnt on the bottom, which I only discovered after eating the top part. When I pointed this out to the server, he took my plate to the kitchen without saying anything. I didn't get anything back, nor did I hear from the server again. I think they were too busy trying to attract other tourists rather than actually helping their customers. When I went to pay and asked what had happened with the food, he became very angry. After a lot of hassle, I finally got the dish for free. The servers were very grumpy and annoying, and the food was extremely disgusting. This place is a major tourist trap! And a disgrace...

Very nice place, cold inside when most of the restaurants are so hot. Good service and tasty vegan options too. Also the music is good, and the decorative elements immersed to somewhere in Africa. To sum up new restaurant with humble service. We repeated. BUT…👇🏻😔 BTW, they have really futuristic pictures, the artist sell them on internet for 400dh the big size. You will find this moroccan artist on IG: @blizzart. The boss, not the waiters, tricked me telling me that these are pictures were made only for them, he didn’t want to tell me the name of the artist and also asked me for 4000dh, which means 10xreal price.
