Le Dragon d'Or — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

My experience at this place was terrible,the food was regular, i ordered a sea food soup which had almost no sea food in it with no taste , and ordered another seafood plate well my biggest dissapoitment came when i ask the Waiter for the bill , i payed with my credit card , the waiter said the device had no signal and that the payment didnt go thru after 15 minutes waiting to see if the de device worked he said no that i must pay in cash which i did , to my surprise like half hour later after i lentes i received an email from my bank that my credit card was charged the bill at the restaurant, the next morning i went and explained to a guy that was at the cash registre that they had charged me twice once in cash and the other with my credit cara he said that i had to come the next Day because the owner wasnt there that Day to come tomorrow which i agreed to. Next Day when i came the owner was there and i explained the problem that he had charged me double my Bill once in cash and that the credit card transaction also charged my card and i showed him the email my bank sent me and i also opened my bank account in my phone and show him the debit from his restaurant in my bank account and to please refund me the cash that i had payed and he started getting gross and yelling saying that i should check with my bank because he never got the credit to his account , once again i opened my phone and showed the proof that my account was debited from his bussiness the same amount , to no success , he stold my money and didnt refund me the money i payed him cash , my advice to any travelers who visit this place be aware that these guy is a thief and try to pay only in cash because if you pay by card he will say the transaction didnt go thru and then charge you cash so you end up...

I really don't know why I keep coming back to this place - food or ambience? Ok, let's start with the food - cuisine is in Chinese style. It means that you should rather forget about finesse of Vietnamese, lightness of Thai or sublime of Korean cuisine. But it doesn't mean you don't eat good here. All is very tasty just bit... hefty. And actually this is very close to what true traditional Chinese cuisine is. They are not afraid to use fat, sugar or spices where is needed. Saying this - there is big choice of light meals like salads and sushi (though I never tasted those here so I cannot say if it is good) Service is very nice and professional. And the décor! You could be in Chinatown in 50s - really - there is no other place like that in Marrakech. If you are not afraid of gluten, bit of fat and you are not allergic to the air you breath in - then visit this place - you will not regret. Important: you may enjoy a glass of wine or beer with your meal and this is not so obvious...

Food is great, price reasonable Nice restaurant Deco, wine is good. Portions are big and taste as good as u can get outside Asian countries. They also gave free pickles and prawn cracker and NO SERVICE CHARGE. Their red chillie sauce is to die for

Some of the staffs can speak French others spoke English although menu is only in French.

Highly recommended if u r tourist and tired of Moroccan food like us becos we join a tour group.

BTW the place is open at 7 but they won't be ready to receive guests before 7.3pm so dun go too early. Best to ask your hotel make...
