Maison Reine is simply amazing. You enter through a discreet door, head up a flight of stairs into a little chic, lifestyle shop and then head up another flight of stairs to a wonderful roof terrace. Our reception was so warm and welcoming. We took seat at our table and then the magic happened. The service was so honest and warm, that you felt like you were being taken care of by an old friend, and then the dishes started to arrive. Wow, wow, wow the aubergine with labnah, the tomato tart, octopus salad with fennel and orange, crispy fried chicken one hit after another. Then to dessert (please make sure you leave room) where do I start, pistachio tart, grapefruit Pavlova, tiramisu, profiteroles, another hit after hit. If you only try one dessert, go for the pistachio tart, it's out of this world. There is such finesse to the food, you can certainly see there's a serious chef with incredible pastry skills working the kitchen. What a team. Our experience was heaven and having spent the past 25 years working in London restaurants, this is beyond amazing. Thank you Maison Reine for giving us this pleasure, bravo (please...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of having lunch at Maison Reine in Marrakesh and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Every detail was meticulously looked after, showcasing pure design and elegance in every corner. The atmosphere was inviting, with a beautiful setting that added to the overall charm.
The food was exceptional in every way. The flavours were exquisite and the presentation was nothing short of art. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, not just in taste but in how it looked, making the meal feel like a visual feast as well as a culinary one.
What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the exceptional customer service. Our server, Simò, was outstanding. He was not only knowledgeable about each dish but also shared fascinating insights into Moroccan culture, which enriched our experience even more. His warm demeanor and attentiveness truly made the lunch feel extra special.
I can't recommend Maison Reine enough, it's a place where design, food and service come together perfectly for an unforgettable...

More of a sharing plates vibe which we personally love (Londoners). Who doesn’t want to try more items on the menu?
We shared 3 plates between us. The tomato tart, octopus salad and beef hummus. We couldn’t pick a favourite, they all had something different. The smokiness of the tart, the freshness of the salad and the complexity of the beef hummus.
We finished with the pistachio tart which was unlike anything we’d ever tasted before and we’ll probably ever taste again. Almost perfume like, it was devine.
And to finish it off, the bill was super reasonable, compared to a lot of places in Marrakech.
It’s not just an ‘Instagram’ restaurant, this food is lovingly cooked to a level above. We couldn’t recommend it enough. It was our stand out meal in Marrakech.
FYI - they don’t sell alcohol so for some people they might prefer it for lunch, but we went for dinner and loved it...
