I happened to pass by and was enticed by the colorful pastries. Didn't think I would buy anything but the man working was very kind and I ended up going home with a melange box. He STUFFED this box as full as it would go and made sure to add his recommendations which I appreciated. I think I ended up with 30 odd pastries for 150. I tried the pastries I got that night and immediately knew I had to come back for more. Wandered around the Medina for 20 minutes trying to find him again but it was worth it. Amazing pastries in the souks! Was introduced to this shop by a local guide and it was so tasty we went back for more! Apart from the paper boxes, the owner kindly gave us a plastic tupperware for about 1kg of mixed pastries to bring back overseas. The gazelle horns, peanut pastry, coffee pastry were exceptionally delicious! You could pick any pastry and any amount you want. It cost about 55MAD for the small box of pastries in the picture. People weren’t lying when they said just how tasty these little sweet treats are. My word are they delicious, some more than others but to be completely honest even the slightly less tasty ones were light years ahead of some I’ve tried in Marrakech. The man in the stall was very friendly and very helpful when it came to making our selection, with his very candid take on what was the best and what flavours we’d like.
