Only stopped in for mint tea and pastries so we were told that we couldn’t sit upstairs on the terrace if we weren’t buying food, which wasn’t a problem for us, so we sat at a table at the front outside.
The selection of (very) small pastries was nice, but the interaction with the server left something to be desired, seemed a bit disinterested and didn’t ask if my partner would be sharing the mint tea I ordered, so only brought one glass (we had glasses for the water we ordered so this wasn’t a major issue and we were still able to share the tea)
Realistically speaking, the price for the tea was very reasonable but for the same price in most other places, you would receive a much larger pot, usually with two glasses. Tea pot was very leaky lol, almost went everywhere and I’ve certainly had plenty of practice with my pours…
The Mint Tea was okay but very bitter and I wasn’t asked if we wanted sugar. (Albeit, I wasn’t even asked if we would be sharing it)
All in all, may have been a nicer experience had we...
Read moreI stumbled upon this lovely little cafe/eatery on my 1st day in 40°C/104°F recently. Let's put it this way, we were dying from the heat and just needed a place to chill. We only had some drinks that 1st visit but the atmosphere was most relaxed. There are 3 levels, but obviously the rooftop is in the most demand. The view at the top of the medina below is quite nice.
Since we enjoyed the first visit so much, we decided to come back on our 3rd day for some actual food. The meatball and carrot cake were both really nice. This time, the place was packed. No rooftop so get...

Some vegetables undercooked, some vegetables overcooked, tasteless tefya on top, and they put raw nuts and dates on top. They also don’t have lben, so I ordered the coconut pineapple smoother which was equally flavorless, the consistency of water, and way overpriced.
It is a shame because fruit juice and couscous are two of the highlights of Moroccan cuisine; this place should represent better.
Great views of the Medina and nice enough staff, I’d recommend visiting the terrace but only...
