Yokohama Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Erongo Region

March 30, 2025. Friendly staff, really was looking forward to sushi in Swakop. Very amenable to slower service for a good meal. We waited for a nearly an hour for food. Only people in the restaurant. Food delivered did not match menu (e.g. inari with mayonnaise and rice paper) number of pieces did not match menu. And the total price was over $100. Perhaps this is the reason this place is empty at 1pm. Yokohama, really, you need to fix this. Tea and miso soup at the table, bring dishes out as they are completed and faster service. You have some serious issues to sort out. Again, we are very happy to wait and are patient people. Review would be completely different if the food was good. Over to you, management, to reply...

Yokohama sushi is a hidden gem that offers amazing sushi at a reasonable price. The chefs are very friendly and skilled, and they prepare the sushi right in front of you. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, and they have options for vegans as well. The only downside is that the rice is a bit too sweet for my (European ;)) taste, and the place could use a minor renovation to improve its appearance. A hidden gem. Super friendly chefs and it’s great to support a small local business like this. This place doesn’t grab your attention from the street, as it’s a little out of the way, BUT use your google map and you will find it with no problems.
