Outstanding Nepalese food based on local recipes sourced by the proprietor who runs the restaurant with his lovely family. He and his wife buy fresh vegetables and meat at the market before they prepare dishes fresh every day. The superior quality and taste compared to less expensive places is obvious and worth the small difference in price.
The interior is beautiful and filled with antiques and artwork also collected by the proprietor, Kishan Gurung. He had designers create the interior of the restaurant based upon his concepts including using sustainable materials.
There are two intimate dining rooms spanning the second and third floors. There is great airflow from 3 sides and a view of the street below if you choose to sit by the front window.

The freshness, flavoring that was both subtle and direct, and mixture of textures was remarkable. We are on our third trip to Nepal and have had much wonderful food here, but this stood out. I may be biased, but taste buds don't lie.
