Who needs a croissant when there is Brioche
Iām 42 minutes walking distance from the mouthwatering experience of Brioche. The most exquisite combination of flavor, texture and savoir faire. An ode to this magnificent French invention from the 17th hundred with a modern twist. Brioche is a comforting place, a moment to indulge ,a sweet tooth satisfaction but never too sweet. The choices are bounded to few types of Brioche and guess what, you donāt need more. As you enter youāll find Herwan, front of the house and LoĆÆc kind of hiding behind the scene concentrated on his work, doing what he knows best. He is meticulous, he rhythmically enjoys the folding, measuring (he actually uses a centimeter), cutting , creating a braid that is then rolled into a ball shape the size of a tangerine in his hands. He is aligned with the task and there he is adding this extra secret ingredient that is love, love for the good things in life. Everything in his Brioche is perfectly balanced. Every bite has a playful taste-texture discovery, lightness, crunchiness of the crust. Itās never too much of anything and always prepares you for more. It stimulates a tasting curiosity and i warn you be prepared for surprises: every bite is a discovery and of course and with no doubt they use the best quality ingredients. I always ask to warm a little bit the brioche, in my opinion, it makes a difference. Who needs a croissant when there is La Brioche!!!! Itās a hidden gem. I preferably sit by the show-window , watching people sliding up and down the street. They have a very pleasant , kind of hidden and cocket space upstairs were you can find your space to work, gossip with your friend or bring your loved ones. Also an immaculate restroom, like the rest of the shop. A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor sure, an above average bakery. I came around 14pm and mostly are sold out. There are limited sitting spaces they have a lovely above sitting area. The place is nice and clean. Staff is very friendly above average. They all speak French but for sure no French attitude if you know what I mean. I got the match brioche 4.9 euro Lovely fluffy, but the dough is getting dry. Maybe it is not fresh well. If they open at 8 am, what can you expect? What is pitty. There is plenty of cream for sure enough to enjoy the whole brioche with it. I do need to say the matcha flavour is not strong. What is pity it leans towards the sweet side for me. The texture of the cream is lovely nicely done. 3+/10 Prailine xxl brioche 1 slice 3 euro A generous slice. As the brioche is a part of a bigger brioche and it is already cut in half and then when order it will cut a slice of a part it is dry on certain areas. If they have a dome or foil to protect the moist, vaporising it will for sure hold for a longer period the moist. Love the amount of nuts they put into it, not much nut here and there some. There is some colour difference in the dough, but you do not taste the difference. The sweet level is controlled. Good nice in balance. Not really special and disappointing dry level 2/10
Filter coffee 3.1 euro They brew me a fresh one, not sure they are just running low or just because it was getting cold. It is a higher quality coffee compared to your local coffee shop but not really that high of quality also. Pity.
Also they have sandwiches with cheese they could make a fresh one if you like what I seen.
Overall, it was nice additional and really stepping the game up...

Brioche. is one of those places where you feel at home the moment you step in. The irresistible smell of freshly baked brioche, the cozy atmosphere, and the friendly staff immediately set the tone.
The brioches are simply amazing: soft, slightly golden, with the perfect balance of sweetness and indulgence. I have a weakness for [mention your favorite brioche or topping, e.g., "the cinnamon brioche" or "the one filled with pistachio"], but honestly, everything Iāve tried so far has been absolutely delicious.
What I also love is that everything seems made with so much care and attention. Even when it gets busy, you can tell that quality is a priority, and the vibe remains relaxed.
This has become one of my go-to spots in Amsterdam, whether itās for a sweet breakfast, a coffee break, or just some time to myself with a brioche and a good cappuccino. If you appreciate simple things done exceptionally well, you need to check...
