Café Bax — Restaurant in Amsterdam

All the trendy hipster coffee joints were crowded to the brim, so I entered this rustic bar for a traditional Dutch "coffee and applepie". After 45 minutes, and a heads-up, said applepie arrived. Warm on the outside, frozen on the inside, so it was taken back to the kitchen. After another 15 minutes, the applepie finally arrived, altough being microwaved until piping hot. Great 'brown' cafe, set in a newer building, but with a cozy 'old feel' interiour and in the summer plenty of outside seating as well. Great collection of specialty and local beers on tap! Excellent choice to go for drinks and snacking. There is a large selection of beers, on the tap and bottled, and a good selection of dishes to choose from if one gets hungry. There is a large terrace outside with little traffic, otherwise inside is also cozy. Price range is slightly below Amsterdam prices. All in all, a place to check out, alone, with the partner...
