Café Panache — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Went here to enjoy my Friday night with 2 of my friends. Overall the place looks nice and I really like to open kitchen concept. Service is good and the staff is lovely. However I could barely have a conversation with my friends, because the music was too loud. I also think they are a little overpriced for what you are getting. Main courses of 30 EURO and in addition to this you have to order your veggies and fries as sides dishes for extra $$. I also ordered tiramisu for dessert, but this turned out to be a big disappointment. Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts, but the dessert called like that I got served here was not even worth the name. Just got a cup with some ice-cream and coffee extract, that was it. I was already surprised how my ‘tiramisu’ looked, but wanted to give it a try. It didn’t even taste like the real thing. That’s why I sent I back to the kitchen, saying this is not what I expected. Their reaction was: it’s the French style tiramisu, uuhh tiramisu is Italian if I am not mistaken. They didn’t offer me anything else and refused to take it off the bill. Missed chance to...

We had done a reservation for 7 people the other night for our friends traveling from different countries. We had a terrible experience as our original table was given to someone else and we needed to sit at the entrance. The food arrived 1,5hr later and when asked to waitress I got a reply as “We are busy, it will come”. For the desserts within the menu, we were told that “the number of desserts were miscalculated” and we needed to pick something else. Then waited another half n hour to have coffee. Eventually we spent 3:15 hours to have dinner with lots of problems. The manager of the restaurant helped us in the end via kind gesture, however I wouldn’t organize anything...

Service was terrible...we booked a table and when we arrived the table was not ready. The lady who was at the entrance was rude and pretentious, and was like " yeah I know you booked a table, but it is not ready what can I do?" Your job; ask people to go! And waitresses are the same, we asked for something they yelled at us " I cannot hear you" , we repeated and he said again he can't hear us and made this face grimace and he goes ! When we asked for the bill, he was rude and unpleasant...They push people to have access to koeken without saying sorry... Too much for us. The restaurant is indeed noisy. Food was good but It's a service like this, we don't want...
