I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and frustration with the service received from Dominos Pizza Amsterdam-Zuidoost on the night of June 26, 2024.
I placed an order through their platform with the expectation of receiving the pizzas within 20 minutes, as stated in the order confirmation. Despite paying extra for expedited delivery, the delivery was significantly delayed. After waiting patiently for an additional 20 minutes, I received a call from the delivery driver, who showed a complete lack of knowledge of the area, even though I am located less than 1 km from the store. I provided detailed instructions on how to reach my address, but the driver was unable to find it and never showed up.
I tried calling the driver back for an update on my order, but received no response. As a result, the pizza never arrived and I had to go to bed hungry, which is unacceptable given that I paid for a service that was not fulfilled. The next day, when I complained about the situation, the store manager informed me that the driver had been waiting downstairs, which is untrue, as I was at the entrance of my building waiting and no one arrived.
What makes this experience even worse is that they refuse to refund my money or provide a new order free of charge. It is both unbelievable and unacceptable that a delivery driver does not know the area in which they are working, especially when it is such a short distance from the store. Additionally, I was told that attempts were made to call me at 11 PM, a time at which I was already in bed, as I had to work very early the next day.
This level of service is completely unacceptable. I request a clear and detailed explanation of what happened, as well as appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused. I trust that measures will be taken to ensure that this type of situation does not happen again, both for me and for other customers. Until then, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreWorst experience ever. I have ordered a half and half pizza (29cm) and chicken wings combo. I ordered at 00:16 and the expected delivery time was between 00:35-00:50. I called them right after I ordered to confirm my order and make sure there won't be any problems. They were rude on the phone and the first time I called they tried to hang up on me in order not to deal with my simple request of confirming my order. We waited until 01:00 but the order still hadn't arrived. I called them again and they assured me my order was ready and that it would arrive in 10 minutes. It didn't. I had to call them 4 more times and every time they promised me that it was ready and that it would arrive in 10 minutes. The last and the 6th time I called them (it was at 01:45) they confessed that my order was not even prepared yet and they made me confirm my order (I told them exactly what I ordered to make sure they wouldn't send me the wrong order.). At 02:10 my order finally arrived. The pizza that arrived was a 25cm pepperoni pizza. It was not only the wrong order that we could not eat but it was also cheaper than what I paid for. The pizza and the wings were cold and the wings were uncooked. We could not eat anything and we waited for 2 hours, sleepy and hungry until 2 am for food that was wrong and that we could not eat. I ordered some snacks and arrival was up to 40 mins after requesting updates twice via Uber eats I decided to call the store for an update as it was only 2 sides. We gave the delivery address and the gentleman said Rudely ‘ just wait just wait’ ‘ well we are busy’ ‘ you’ll get it when you do ‘ you have to be patience ‘ and the proceeded to hang the phone up, I called back and again the gentleman couldn’t give me an answer so I asked for a refund, again he hung up the phone. I tried to contact Uber eats but being from the UK I found it difficult, around 10 mins have passed and still my order hasn’t been cancelled and again the same gentleman said it will take hours to cancel I replied stating the clicking ‘cancel’ will cancel the order and wouldn’t take hours and I asked to speak with the manager.
HE IS apparently the manager and proceeded to laugh over the phone. Hung up and then my order had been cancelled. The way he handled the situation is absolutely horrific and I feel discriminated as I am not from Amsterdam and he had no time of day, I would avoid giving this dominos custom as he doesn’t care for his customers and will not cancel your online orders and will take the money.
