I had the pleasure of visiting Louis Bar recently and I was absolutely blown away by the incredible atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the delicious cocktails. The bar is located in a charming little alleyway in the heart of Amsterdam, and the moment you step inside you're transported to a different world. The décor is eclectic and inviting, with dim lighting, plush seating, and a lively buzz that makes you feel like you're part of something special.
The staff at Louis Bar is some of the friendliest and most attentive I've ever encountered. They were eager to help us find the perfect cocktail to suit our taste, and they were always happy to answer our questions about the bar and the city. I was particularly impressed with their knowledge of the local spirits and liqueurs.
And of course, no visit to Louis Bar would be complete without sampling their cocktails. They have an extensive menu of classic cocktails, as well as some innovative creations that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. I highly recommend the "Louis Fizz," a refreshing concoction of gin, prosecco, and elderflower liqueur. It's the perfect way to start or end your night.
I hope this review helps you decide whether or not to visit Louis Bar. If you do decide to go, I'm sure you'll have...
Read moreIncredibly rude old woman behind the bar - wouldnât recommend if you arenât Dutch! Visited here for a few drinks last week, we ordered from our table as it was busy and a nice woman behind the bar came over to us and took our order. My friends and I ordered different things and when we later went up to order more drinks and paid parts of the tab it was fine. When we went to leave at the end of the evening and tried to pay the rest of the tab, a different woman, old, was behind the bar and gave us a tab and total that was not correct, we tried to explain that the total and drinks werenât right, even my friend who is Dutch explained in Dutch, but she got really angry and started yelling at us infront of everyone, telling us that WE were wrong, and to just pay it, even though it was âŹ20 over what it should be. She wouldnât listen to us, so we gave up and paid and left. Was really upsetting and overpaid far too much! Absolutely wouldnât return, and would not recommend for...
Read moreAbsolutely to avoid. Of course, a bar in the centre will be expensive, but a friend and I just encountered something more closely resembling petty fraud.
Our dear bartender insisted that the "big" (330ml) beers we were being served were "pints". Clearly this professional missed the Units of Measurement class, otherwise he'd know that said word refers to a volume of 568ml. Pursuing his interests, he remarked "...in the Netherlands we call them this". As my Dutch friend, and any other educated Dutch person can attest, this isn't the case.
In conclusion, we left what was otherwise a nice bar with the bitter taste of being scammed on 4 outrageously...
