A one-of-a-kind, multi-sensory experience! Great place for a first date or gathering of a dozen friends. Dont miss this little gem! We'll be back, and would invite friends to meet us here to share small plates and drinks. Upbeat music makes you feel like you're entering a club or party, but you could still hold a conversation. And if you don't want conversation, the hotel's quirky decor, refurbished this year, is like being immersed in an art installation, with ever-changing AI murals by Marcel Wanders. Instead of the old formal dining room, this is a more fun gathering room where you can look out at the canal. We also enjoyed meeting other people at the gin-tasting table and at nearby tables in this relaxed and comfortable bar--a place where singles would feel comfortable. Food was surprisingly good, attractively plated and in very generous portions. My husband had a delicious filet w chimmichurri sauce, and I loved my tofu veggie stirfry with peanuts and pepper flakes. Read moreI was very excited to visit the newest hotspot in Amsterdam & I was definitely not disappointed. Prins & Aap is the first local playground/ barstro where polarities connect in a best way possible; starting from the unique interior of the famous designer Marcel Wanders & Karin Krautgartner, through the twisted combinations of their dishes & cocktails from the award winner Nikos Bakoulis.
I was lucky enough to have dinner at Prins & Aap. The food and the drinks were delicious. I was able to try multiple dishes while there, each was as delicious as the previous. My favourite dishes were the popcorn chicken, ceviche & the stammpot with the heineken gravy! Their Mosaic cocktail with the gouda cheese is definitely a stand out!!
The staff was consistently warm and welcoming. The interior including their extravagant platings …it goes without saying that Prins & Aap is the most instagrammable...
Read moreThe restaurant is very nicely decorated and we had high hopes. We started with gin tonics and everything was fine. Then we ordered the starters which were absolutely delicious. It all went downhill from there. The pasta alio y olio was completely tasteless. We had fries but they forgot the truffle mayo. We asked 3 times and it came after 20 minutes, the fries were cold and we didn’t eat them. The avocado salad had 2 small pieces of avocado and no dressing. Drinks were forgotten and no spoon was served with soup. They definitely need to improve their customer service skills. Especially for those prices. They were able to deliver the bill within 2 minutes. We explained that we had an event in the same location and were seated at 17:00. We finished dinner at 19:30 since service was very slow and we missed 30 minutes of our...
