Do not come here!!! Me and my partner were walking around looking for somewhere to eat, and I wanted pizza so decided to stop in here. We sat down and something felt weird at first. The only other people in the restaurant was a big group of women, who had all dumped their coats onto a random table opposite them. It did not look like it did in the photos (we looked at reviews before walking in, and they looked good???), there was mess everywhere and boxes just thrown on the floors. She came over and asked what we wanted to drink, we asked for two cokes and water to share. She started looking through boxes on the floor (???) for a bottle of water but then handed us one out of the fridge. Then, she came back over, took the bottle away without a word and handed us two glasses of tap water. Then, gave us two bottles of coke, and refused to give us glasses for them. We asked for a couple more minutes to think about what to eat but decided we wanted to leave as we had a bad feeling and the service wasn’t great. We told her we were leaving but she demanded we pay for the drinks (we literally hadn’t even touched them, they hadn’t moved from where she’d put them on the table, let alone opened any) because she’d already put them through the till. I’ve worked in customer service before and understand it’s frustrating to have to void items and I was tired and wanted to leave, so agreed to pay. She came over with the contactless pay machine and as my boyfriend was about to pay (he was standing opposite her, I was standing next to her, so I could see the price on the screen) - I saw the price and shouted 12 euros!! She tried to charge us 12 euros for two 500ml bottles of coke. I said to her I’m sorry but I’m not paying that and we’re leaving. She started shouting at us demanding we pay, I explained to her that I’m not going to, so she told us to go to Mcdonald’s and eff off. We then went to La Zoccola del Pacioccone which was just around the corner, and had...
Read moreWe were hungry and looking for lunch, saw a menu with fish and chips and shnitzel and the place was quite empty so we went in. I won’t judge the sad interior, will focus on food: I took tomato soup and shnitzel, my friend took caprese and fish&chips. To say the least it was overpriced and absolutely didn’t match with what we got- I had a small bowl of cambell can soup, caprese was not fresh. Then came the worst part- both main dishes were just out of the cheap frozen section of a supermarket. Simple french fries and out of box chicken and fish cutlets made in the same fritter. Side salad consisted of one slice of cucumber and one sad slice of tomato plus a few salad leaves. Not to mention how the waiter took my friends fork and knife off her caprese dish and placed them on the table in front of her for the main dish!!! Used fork and knife. On the table. WTF…. The only good thing there was beer, I guess you can’t...
Read morePrices are decent, serving size was reasonable, food was great, service was alright.
I had pasta (mushroom and chicken) and it was fantastic, unfortunately I didn't have anything to drink it with. Bottled water was around 3-4 euros, and most other drinks were more. When I requested tap water, they said they didn't have any, which I highly doubt because it's a restaurant, nearly every restaurant I've been to has tap water so... I've removed 1 star.
As stated, food was quite nice, very flavorful and well cooked, it was enough to make me reasonably full, and it was affordable.
The restaurant was nicely decorated with different paintings and whatnot. It was quite quiet in the restaurant, I was the only person there aside from staff who were talking to each other and trying to decorate for the holidays.
All in all, it was a great place, I just wish they offered tap water or some cheaper alternative to wasteful...
