Wow! It was a really good experiance.
I am really into the tea world and I love gonfucha and the chinese tea traditions, so I was really imoressed how much they know about tea. The can tell you every single detail of real tea (not that strange supermareket stuff with fruits or something).
Also the price was super fair because in other teahouses around the world you pay much more and if you take many refills you sit with another person more than one hour at the tea ceremony with under 7€!
After nearly half an hour talk about teaware with the owners, I decided to buy a perfectly made clay teapot. I could not take it home because I was camping in amsterdam and the teaware is very fragile, so they packed it box, brought it for me to the post office and I just had to pay the fee for the post.

Read moreAs much as I would like to highly rate this family-run business, the price and quality equation here is really far off. The Taiwanese oolong that I bought from them was the equivalent of 1 euro per gram. A similar quality oolong from Postcard Teas in Mayfair (London), who also spend a painstaking amount of time sourcing teas from the far East, is 0.26 GBP per gram, so Tea's Delight is approx 3x as expensive. To be clear, that works out to about 5 euros per tea experience if you use 5-6 grams per sitting. Furthermore, the Lishan tea which I bought could not be brewed past the 2nd brew, it was flavourless and dull. There are many better options in Amsterdam for higher quality tea (such as Moy Chay on the Rozengracht) where you don't...
Read moreNice place with a very nice quality of tea. The owner was very nice and answered all my questions with patience. The only thing is that the prices of the teas are extremely high, even in comparison to other high quality tea places, 100gr loose leaf tea costs over 50 euro, which is more or less double then other high quality tea places around, for example Formocha close to the Elandsgracht. Shame, as we drink lots of tea and this place is 1 minute walk from my house. Quality is nice, no doubt, but spending 50 euro for a 100 grams of tea is exaggerated. I would have rated it 5 stars if the prices where more...
