So many things suck about this place. This place doesn't belong in the Margaritaville group. I'm just going to list the issues in no order:
They allow smoking, so if you have children you'll want to know that beforehand The food sucks. Our chicken and burger came out way overdone and dry. The service sucks. There were only four people seated at tables when we arrived on a Friday at 530pm. Red flag. Took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. The food took even longer. We didn't see our server again until the meal was almost over. We had been traveling all day and had to eat what we were given. When he finally did check on us, we ordered water to help wash down the dry food.
15 mins later I went to the bar and just ordered myself. The bartender was talking to a couple in an otherwise empty bar and ignored me for several minutes. I was a bartender, you always pause a conversation to serve a customer considering that's your primary responsibility.
The music sucks. If you came here because you're a Buffett fan, you're going to be disappointed. We were there for almost two hours (not by choice) and heard zero Buffett, only bubble gum trash.
We're global travelers and this is our 6th Caribbean island, so we set our expectations accordingly. Don't go here, go probably get...

It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere at the Renaissance Hotel in Curaçao is a lovely spot with a great atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious—I tried the Patacón with goat cheese and the Arepa with beef, and both were flavorful and well-prepared. The highlight of my visit was the Havanas with Bananas cocktail, which was refreshing and unique—a must-try if you stop by!
The staff, especially the girl who served us, was very friendly and did her best to make us feel welcome. However, the service was quite slow, which impacted the experience. I waited about 30 minutes for my food and 10-15 minutes for my drink, which is a bit too long, especially considering the cocktails are priced at around 20 guilders. For a place of this caliber, adding more bartenders or staff would greatly improve the overall experience.
Despite the wait times, the quality of the food, drinks, and friendly service makes this a spot worth visiting. If they can speed up the service, it will be...

$9 USD nachos and 2 tequila shots on Friday!?? It was really good and a crazy deal! Happy hour is a very good deal.. Half off cocktails and discounted beer and wine. We spent under $50 on 4 cocktails, nachos deal and ceviche. The ceviche also had a lot of fish which was impressive. Overall it was a great time for our first night in Curacao. We will come back (also staying at the hotel right next to it!) Note: Tax and service charge included however he deserved an extra tip!
I also want to shout out to the singer (and guitarist) who sang for maybe an hour straight before taking a break. He played a great set of Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes and more.. All of which we were impressed and enjoyed! Def...
