We had to visit so many other people these two weeks that we only had the chance to visit Il Barile da Mario twice. But we'll always be back! Small little mom and pop Italian shop. We had lunch here where my friend had the seafood fish fantasy and I did the lobster pasta. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer. My noodles were cooked to perfection and the sauce was a simple butter, salt, garlic and oil. It was exactly right. Sometimes simple is best. My friend didn’t enjoy his fish but liked the shrimp and other parts. It’s expensive but they’re competing with bigger restaurants so I don’t mind because I like supporting small businesses. Definitely worth trying.

Second time here- the most delicious homemade food, the kindest staff, and the cutest atmosphere full of Marilyn Monroe things! Even the bathroom is cute :) Will come back whenever I’m in Curaçao. Really recommend the bruschetta, truffle ravioli, aglio e olio and the TIRAMISU!!

Second time here- the most delicious homemade food, the kindest staff, and the cutest atmosphere full of Marilyn Monroe things! Even the bathroom is cute :) Will come back whenever I’m in Curaçao. Really recommend the bruschetta, truffle ravioli, aglio e olio and the TIRAMISU!!

We had the truffle ravioli and tomato gnocchi, plus two beers. Our total was $76, which we thought was reasonable considering the quality of the food and service.

Our entire trip has been filled with HORRIBLE service, so this place was a breath of fresh air. Our waitress was attentive and quick to bring not only our waters but also the food. She was truly delightful!

We sat outside and enjoyed the locals passing by, as well as a gentle breeze. Definitely my favorite restaurant that we visited...
