La Cubanita Delft — Restaurant in Delft

As a person who likes RTS games, I can tell you this place is amazing to put all the theory of this genre of gaming into action in this place.

My friends and I went there like hooligans who haven't had food in their lives. As you go to an all you can eat place, the sole goal you have in mind is "either the place wins or me" so you develop strategies that overcome the obstacles laid there for you.

And there are obstacles laid there and waiting for you to fall for them. However, we had the greatest minds in town. We ordered before the new set of dishes even had arrived so we don't feel full and ordered the minimum amount of drinks to keep more space in our bellies for food.

At the end of the day we had 7 rounds of dishes and we tried almost every dish on the menu. We had the feeling that we won and we were in such a euphoria that after leaving the his restaurant we sparked some Cuban sigars and sang communist songs in honour of Cuba.

Interesting take on tapas. You can eat as much as you like for a set price (€20 when we went), they deliver two plates per person at a time, then you order the next set. Very high quality and tasty food and a huge selection, there must have been 30 plates to choose from including some great vegan and vegetarian options.

The only reason I can’t give this 5 stars is that it can take up to 20 minutes between plates, which at the start of a meal can be a bit frustrating (though some do come quicker than others). We were lucky and comfortably spent 2hrs there and ate about 8 plates each. I’d definitely return, but only on an evening where I have time...

Cubanita is an over-priced tapas bar that claims to have a cuban cuisine, but anyone who has ever been to Cuba will soon realize that their food has little to do with Cuba. I was quite disappointed to see fried cheese-balls for about 5 EUR (!!!) on the menu, which in my opinion should not even be on there. The dishes are quite small as is normal for a tapas bar, but the price you pay for the quality you get is absurd. The salad I received has been standing for at least a whole day in the refrigerator, which speaks for the quality of their food.
