La Folie — Restaurant in Eindhoven

The staff is extremely rude. It was a cold night so we ordered tea, then AFTER the service the staff came to our table and told us to be grateful for their tea because they “don’t serve tea”? At first, she told us to order or leave, so we ordered at the bar and explained really nicely we didn’t know we had to go inside to order because it was our first time at this bar, thinking such misunderstanding would resolve after this communication. She told us to not “look so angry and behave” and said every bar worked this way. It was just really bizarre why there was so much pent up rudeness. And the blonde waitress came over, took our tea away while swearing non-stop, and eventually threatened “if I were you I would leave as soon as I can for your own good” and that “I’m taking away your tea, you don’t deserve it”. The entire time, we stayed quiet and in awe of how someone could be this low, this does not sit right. We left because the way she was holding the tea while cleaning up really seemed like she was gonna throw it on us. She screamed “bye” as we left. It’s no way to treat anyone at all, and do not attempt working as a server if you are struggling with anger issues. Straight up savage behaviour from a full grown person. What would she do if we didn’t leave? Zoo...

Come here at your own risk. La Folie has a certain cozy, dive-bar charm and a convenient location that could make it a great hangout. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was shockingly rude and unprofessional so much so that it eclipsed everything else.

Honestly, this place should take a break from its existence until it figures out what hospitality really means. With genuine reflection and change, it might one day become a spot worth...

In het begin dacht ik dat het een mogelijk een authentieke tent was, maar de eigenaresse speelt een rol als onvriendelijke heks zoals de Jordaan maar dan zonder overtuiging. Wat vrijwel direct gebeurt is dat ze nep lomp gasten beledigt, maar bij een beetje tegengas direct voor je kruipt.

De dochters zijn nog zwakker. Mamma is de baas en zij volgen. Dus in La Folie zijn ze nog enigzins behulpzaam.

Helaas daarbuiten zijn ze pure ellende die in een slachtofferrol vallen. Wanneer een dronken persoon hun tafel stoot, vatten zij het op als een persoonlijke belediging gezien hun diva status. Ze reageren zeer agressief en bedreigend op een neutrale situatie.

Wanneer je tegengas geeft en zegt dat je het niet waardeert, dan worden ze zeer dreigend.

Als je ook nog durft om voet bij stuk te houden, dan vallen ze je fysiek aan dmv slaan, drank gooien, schelden en dmv een groep je te bedreigen.

Gelukkig nam politie Eindhoven deze melding serieus en hopelijk gaan ze ook hiermee iets verder doen. Ze erkende in ieder geval dat het asociaal en ongehoord gedrag was, wat een rustgevend gevoel gaf.
